Bangalawa Guest House

Very disappointing
We pay especially for the swimming pool. The room smelled of humidity+, we had 3 cold showers out of 4, there was almost no toilet paper in the room, the air conditioning was leaking.
The staff is nevertheless very nice!

We were 5 girls that loved this place! Stayed for 3 nights and enjoyed it very much. The pool was clean and nice. And the breakfast was amazing, best we have had in Sri Lanka
A lot of ants and insects but what can we expect from the jungle.
All in all a very good hotel with very friendly staff!

When we arrived our resort we were welcomed by Waruna, a friendly and open man. We opened our rooms and found a clean room were we stayed for one night. We swam a lot in the swimming pool. Its very nice! The night we slept with airco. The next day Waruna invited us to a woodworker we saw how the man carved a beautifull elephant out of a piece of wood. Wonderfull!
We stayed till 4 pm in the swimming pool before we left this beautifull resort.

A smaller hotel in a peaceful and quiet location. There is also a swimming pool. Rooms smaller but very clean. Our host Waruna was very nice and friendly. The dinners were excellent, too big for two people. There were plenty of side dishes on the table in the form of vegetables and potatoes, lots of meat and fruit. I was very pleasantly surprised by the hotel and I will choose this hotel on my next trip to Sri Lanka.

Had a amazing stay at this place. Food was delicious, customer service was extraordinary, rooms are very clean and nice. If you need a place in habarana I highly recommend this hotel

This is the nicest place I ever stayed! The owner Mahesh and his team are incredibly welcoming hosts and did everything they could to give us a good time!
The hotel and the garden with palms and flowers is very clean and well maintained. It feels like you are in the jungle, but it's just a five minute walk to the city. The pool is a lot of fun with a waterfall and colored lights in the night.
The breakfast the best I had so far, and they introduced us to some new Sri Lankan food.
We had two of the three rooms which gave us even more the feeling of family.
The kids loved Mahesh! He came with us to some trips and he showed us how to work with termite clay. We had a lot of fun and were very sad when we had to leave!

Our stay was really very nice! The owner surprised us with a really great breakfast, which was really delicious! The rooms are air-conditioned and the bathroom is also very comfortable with a hot shower! They organized both our TukTuk rides to Sigirya as well as our onward taxi ride to Kandy! We recommend:)

we have made every effort to ensure that we lack for nothing. The rooms have air conditioning and towels are provided.
On the first day we got a cute welcome drink and on the last morning we were surprised with a huge breakfast. The prices in Sri Lanka are currently rather high due to the crisis, but the hotel was really cheap. Great value for money!

Had the worst experience there. At the beginning owner pretended to be a generous man who cares about his guests very well. But that man is a total thief.
We gave him meat for the BBQ but the quantity we got was like a half of it. Even the food he cooked was so terrible. We had to eat the string hoppers we ate in the morning at night too as noodles and it was so disgusting. The place itself was very unclean and smelly. The washroom were very unpleasant to use. He even charged us more money than he should.
So please don't go there.

Located near to the city, this is a little paradise. There is also a very quiet and beautiful garden. Very close to ATM. The most beautiful swimming pool. The owner and staff here are very friendly and helpful. All travel and destinations were prepared. It was very convenient for me. The room and bed are amazing. He helped arrange wonderful things like a village ride and ayurvedic massage at a reasonable price which is a never before experienced experience. They also provided their vehicle at a very low price compared to other places. It was a great comfort to me. Very delicious Sri Lankan style dinner and breakfast. It was very special to me. Explained everything to me and helped me to save my money and safety. 1000% security and value for money. It is possible to prepare anything needed. I can't forget this place. I'll be back. Visit Sri Lanka. They provide special care for foreigners. Thank you to everyone at Bungalow Resort.

My guests stayed in this hotel and they were highly satisfied. Very very quiet place and you will get value for money.

Had the worst possible stay in Bangalawa Resort Habarana!

We had $100 stolen from our room as our host entered our room not once, but twice in one day while we were out, completely against our knowledge and permission betraying both our privacy and trust in him as a host for our stay! As a man who spoke clear and extremely well English, our host pretended to not understand us as we asked him about the situation and refused to co operate.

The room, which we had to pay double the price for (as we booked a budget double room and the host refused us to stay there demanding we upgrade and pay extra for a bigger room) was extremely unkept and dirty! The room had a damp smell and the bedding, pillows and throw were all damp! The bed sheets were stained and had holes in them!

As we were leaving the property on our departure day, the host had a dispute with our taxi man that was bringing us to our next destination, telling him he was a ‘stupid man’ and should be charging double the price we had already arranged for the trip, exclaiming he should be charging us 14,000 rp instead of 7000 rp for our trip!

This man is a fraud, a theif and extremely rude and I would advise and beg anyone to not stay here!
