I recently visited Hela Bojun Hala (හෙල බොජුන් හල), the Department of Agriculture in Anuradhapura, and I was very pleased with what I found. The staff was very friendly and helpful and the facilities were clean and well-maintained. The grounds were also quite impressive, with lush vegetation and plenty of wildlife. I was able to purchase some seeds and plants that I needed for my garden, and the prices were reasonable. I would definitely recommend this place to anyone looking for agricultural products or advice.

A place to experience traditional food & sweet meets. Doesn't serve or rice and curry. Roadside and mid sized vehicle park available. Post COVID less verities are on offer. By going there you are supporting a set of entrepreneur ladies while filling your tummy for a buck.

It's a real Sri Lankan traditional food trend which was introduced by the Department of Agriculture to promote local food verities. This is a very successful business model now many women those who involved in this are doing same in outside.

A must stop place when traveling from Vavuniya towards Anuradhapura. Freshly prepared food and juices at unbelievably low prices. Most are made by local females upon your order. Clean washrooms and ample parking space is also available.

Brilliant idea. Government owned premises where catering done by group of village women. About 10 live cooking stations going on for breakfast, lunch and dinner. All serving one or few kinds completely different real traditional Sri Lankan Food. All prepared in authentic manner using home grown grain or vegetable.

You can serve from all stations and pay later to each. Unmatched combinations and variations from mains to sweets.
