Starting from the hospitality, Felt like home! Kudos to the cook out there, food were fantastic. Starting from the morning tea and up to the dinner the culinary skills showed up quite well.
The environment/surrounding was outstandingly calm, anyone who wants to get out of their normal routine; should visit this place.

If you want a place to relax and just enjoy nature, Block forty is the place you are looking for. Away from the hustle and the bustle of the Bandarawela town, lies this hotel in a place you'd never expect a hotel to be in. The road to it may be a little tricky as you get the feeling you are lost. But that feeling gets washed away as you enter Block forty. Raja the chef cum caretaker will provide you with scrumptious food and super friendly service. We thoroughly enjoyed his pol roti, chicken curry and India style potato curry. There's a small waterway adjoining the hotel. It didn't look quite fresh for a bath, but nature around is quite soothing and relaxes you instantly. We only stayed there a night, but we will surely visit for more.

100% would recommend! Such an awesome place to go and unwind. What a perfect location for a relaxing getaway. The food and service was amazing. I would definitely come again!

I went to Blockforty last month. It is in a really beautiful and calm area, and the staff is polite and the cuisine is excellent. I'd recommend 'Blockforty' to anyone, and I'll definitely be back.

Very pleasant place to stay. Room was very tidy and comfortable. The caretaker (Raja) was really nice. Very reasonable price. We enjoyed our stay at the Bungalow. Hope to visit again soon.

One of the best places I have been to. The caretakers are very supportive. They cook everything you want if you give the rations. Location is perfect for family gettogether. Have 5 luxury rooms with more than space in the house. The river is perfect for a bath. Over all 5 stars. Will visit again definitely.

Excellent location living with nature. Clean and calm environment with required facilities & nice architectural design. Superb hospitality form caretaker Mr. Nataraja. Can make any kind of foods especially Indian cuisines. I strongly recommend this location for 10 persons or below for a holiday and spend the day. Rates also reasonable for the stay.

One of the best places that you will never want to leave after you step foot into it. Loved the delicious food cooked by Raja (specially the tea leaves and kos murukku) and loved how welcoming, supportive and caring the staff was. Loved the scenery facing the lake and the other activities such as the musicians, cycling and basketball provided by blockforty itself. In addition the location of blockforty makes it easy to travel to many tourist attractions and various other places. Would love to visit this place again and again.

Blockforty is a wonderful place to have a holiday. Very relaxing with the music of stream, birds singing and fantastic food with very friendly staff.
Especially it is an ideal place for bird’s lovers. Great variety of birds at your doorstep. You can spot many bird’s by spending day at Blockforty

The place was very homely. The owners & the staff was very pleasant and kind. The food tasted amazing! The place is IDEAL if you are looking to get away from the busy lives and just relax a bit with nature. It's situated at an amazing place that's away from the noises of the city, and just next to a cool stream. The temperature in the area is nice and cool, but not too cool to the extent of freezing.

It's an amazing place to just connect with nature and get away from all the stresses. While other hotels try to go overboard and get you involved in everything and you end up watching TV or just in your phone, there's something about this place that just makes you want to "relax", and get away from it all. I'd suggest you bring some warm clothing, your favorite book, or a guitar, and just go to the stream-side, and just unwind in the cool environment, listening to the relaxing sound of the bustling water from the stream.

Blockforty is a newly built hotel in Bandarawela. Actually it takes 1/2 hour to go there from Bandarawela town. Location is bit difficult to find because there’s no any landmarks. However this is a superb place for people who would love to stay away from the suburbs. The hotel is located near a stream and climate is always chilling. Rooms are super comfortable with all new elements. Caretakers are very friendly and helpful they are always try to do their best for us. Food is delicious and they can prepare anything as per your request. We Would love to visit again.
