Ella Treehouse And Cabanas

A great and special accommodation in Ella with hospitable owners.
We booked the treehouse for a total of 2 nights (a couple, 2 friends), we were given a very friendly welcome by the owner, who showed us our treehouse directly and was very helpful with questions about the area and sights and provided help and advice straight away Guides were offered (there were also little insider tips).

The Treehouse is located just outside of Ella and has a jungle flair. The accommodation was clean and lovingly, thoughtfully furnished. The bathroom and toilet were separate and there was a fully equipped kitchen.
The highlight was definitely the terrace from which you could look out over the entire valley, you could either sit together at the large table or relax in the hammocks.

It is built in the middle of the jungle and therefore you have monkeys right on your doorstep (who can also visit you). The Treehouse has an open design and therefore it has to be mentioned that you can really hear every noise at night. That wasn't a problem for us, we simply slept with ear plugs.

Breakfast was included in our stay, but we also booked dinner as the owners have a small restaurant on site. For dinner there was traditional local (exclusively vegetarian) curry. Once we were able to watch the owner's mother preparing dinner. She cooked the curry in a mud hut over an open fire, which was a great and unique experience.

In general, staying at the Treehouse was a unique experience and I would come here again at any time and recommend it to friends.

The room was nice and clean and the staff were nice. But there is a big problem. It is not a tree house as it is supported by concrete beams.furthermore you are not in nature because you can see lights, hear traffic, cars go by. In short, if you want to sleep in a tree house, this is definitely not the right place

The great place in sri lanka. Very nice family running this place. They help with all our needs with love. The rooms are very good and special and for us it's was very important. We recommend to all the people who want to come to sri lanka to be a guest in this place. Thanks to iashika and her parents for the experience, we hope to come again

Wonderful place to stay.

Mith warmly welcomes each guest with a cup of tea. At the kitchen you can always sit down to drink tea or water or play the traditional game.

There is filtered water which you can always take with you.
The accommodation itself is fantastic. You have a great view of the valley, nice natural shower/bathroom, comfortable beds and a great terrace.

Mith gives great tips on what to do during your time in Ella, keep it up he knows a lot of great places!
There was traditional breakfast and lunch every day, everything is lovingly and traditionally made. IMPORTANT! Almost everything is made with coconuts.
At the end we were allowed to cook together with the family. It was very nice and a great experience. Of course, there are no electric food processors or a proper stove.

I had a amazing time staying at the tree house! The dinner experience was the most special, we learn how to cook Sri Lankan food, and I swear that was the best curry I had in Sri Lanka by far, every ingredient was fresh from the farm too.
The treehouse itself is also special, we are on a jackfruit tree

We stayed in one of the beautifully designed treehouses for 3 nights and loved it. The family running this place is friendly and helpful in every regard. We also did a cooking class with the mum, which was fun and delicious. The location is a bit outside of town but a convenient starting point for a number of hikes (including to Ella Rock which is highly recommended). A tuk tuk into town is only 300 rupees. Beware of the monkeys!

If you are in Ella, you must stay there.the place is owned by a super nice family, they are helpful and gave us tips of how to enjoy the most of our stay which we wouldn't have known by ourselves.the breakfast and dinner were delicious and were made by the wife and mother which organize cooking classes as well while the husband will hook up with anything you need in a minute because he know Ella very well.all in all its great

Very good place for getaway from all the car horns and sounds! There are fireflies at night! Best time we ever had in Sri Lanka! Owner of this place are very nice, friendly, humble and polite!

Fantastic cabins on the shade side of the mountain. Perfect host en fantastic food. Loved the pancakes!
