Green Village

Absolutely loved the stay at this lovely guesthouse/homestay! The owners are the best people with the biggest smiles! Sri lankan breakfast was delicious together with big pot of tea! We had a room on the middle floor with balcony/terrace with the best view of Ella Rock! You just can't stop looking at the surrounding jungle with palm trees. Hot water in the shower was absolute treat! Mosquito net was also added bonus. There was a fan in the room but we didn't need it as nights got bit cold. If you're looking for affordable, relax and chill stay, this is the place to be. Walking distance to main street where you'll find plenty of restaurants and cafes with great food and happy vibes!

We booked a family room upstairs with a terrace and view - beautiful! Breakfasts are served on the terrace, delicious and fresh! We liked it very much, thank you!

Fantastic view, great breakfast on the terrace with the view, so close to the main street and lovely personnel that really helps you out (and does drive you out with all your bags to the main street or further for free at the end of your stay).
The facilities are great for the price you pay. Clean and free of mold.

A lovely little place in a peaceful part of Ella but mere minutes walk to the main town. The people who run the Homestay are incredibly friendly and welcoming and the breakfast is excellent.

The rooms are basic but clean and it’s incredible value for money. The view from the balcony is worth it alone.

We stayed 2 nights and booked a family room on the top floor. The rooms are big enough, clean and functional. Breakfast is prepared at the time of your choice and served on the beautiful terrace belonging to the room. Ella center is 600m away, attractions such as the Nine Arches Bridge or Little Adems Peak can be easily reached with a short hike through the beautiful surroundings.
We also want to mention the friendliness and helpfulness of the hosts. Thanks

The hotel was very nice and the best one had a view of the beautiful mountains, the rooms were not very well maintained, but they were much worse

They treated us so well. Even took us to the train station when we were running late.

Really tasty breakfast and good views!

Our room was full of mold. So much so that eventually we could feel it in our breathing. We found car lacquers in the drawers. It was horrible. We had to ask to check out early and were assigned a new room, but the experience was ruined. The new room was better, but continued to have fungus in the bathroom. They need to CLOSE that room, it is NOT okay to take money for when it is harmful to health. Despite nice hosts, we can only give one star.

Stunning view from the balcony! Will never get tired of that. The room was cozy and the shower was warm in the cool mornings of Ella. The hosts were quick with a smile and we felt very welcomed! Thank you!

TERRIBLE! The rooms were very stuffy and dusty. The toilet didn't flush properly and the tap was broken. Not to mention the people were even worse and had atrocious customer service. They are very two faced and treated us like we were lower than them, specially to Sri lankans. We asked for tea which arrived 45 minutes late and was cold and tasteless. We had to go ask for the towels and the rail on the bathroom broke aswell. We booked for only two nights but only stayed for one. What they try to do is make people pay a cancellation fee that is larger than the original price. I definitely don't recommend. Don't be fooled by the good reviews just know that they are very bad people.

Location is very good near to Ella city centre.we stayed one night.not proper parking. Breakfast can be arranged. We could get the amazing view of Ella rock.

Amazing place to stay in Ella. Beautiful view on Ella Rock and nearby almost everything here. Clean and nice room. Enough space, good shower. Most amazing thing is the service. Very kind owner + son. They made our stay very nice:)

We recently enjoyed our stay in Ella with the hosts from Green Village! We really loved the accommodation because of its great location enabling the view of the mountains which is astounding The terrace is so great and new, the rooms are very tidy and clean with mosquito nets over the beds:)
The hosts are lovely and prepared us a tasty breakfast, they quickly reacted to our questions and wishes! Great mother and son!
The accommodation is located in central Ella and everything can be reached by walking!

We stayed for three nights and we absolutely loved the place. We could get the amazing view of Ella rock and the location was very convenient. At the same time the host family was very nice and friendly.

I'm not recommended. Our Room is not clean, and staff not friendly. Robbery place. We want to pay extra expensive service charge. Dusty people.
