Kirchhayn Bungalow reviews
5 One of the best bungalow’s in the country!
Huge thanks goes to Mr. Rajapaksha who was very supportive. The food was great and all the stuff members were really friendly…. The bungalow is simply stunning! It has that classic vibe on it and the huge garden is the best part of this bungalow, it is so clam and cold it was very relaxing.
P. S - yes the road for the bungalow is terrible but worth the struggle
Hoping to visit here again.
Good luck!
100 recommended! The best bungalow ever went. The staff is also super friendly. Mr. Rajapakshe is so much supportive. The view, atmosphere and the freedom feeling you get over there is irreplaceable.
Located just outside Bandarawela, the Kirchhayn Bungalow is a charming boutique property. Within the same family for many generations, the bungalow has been restored as a part luxury retreat, part heritage home. The beautiful bungalow boasts of five deluxe suites. Finished with large four poster bed in the master bedroom, the Bostock Suite is favourite of the recluse traveller. The large French windows, opening to the well-manicured gardens of the bungalows provides for both recreation and relaxation. A suitable or the travelling pair, the Pyman Suite is complete with two queen sized beds.
Well, the place is great. Simply, the amazing view, comfortable space and good staff make it a lovely stay. The environment was cool, calm and quiet and thus, complements a great holiday spent at an estate bungalow. However, there were few concerns that made this rating a 4 star and not a 5 star one. The first would be the food. Even though the food was okay, it was not the best. It seemed like they were going for the highest possible cost cutting. The breakfast included an omelet, a few small sausages and a small piece of ham (very small) with few fruits sparingly placed on a plate. The other concern is the lack of amenities in the rooms; no toothpaste, toothbrushes, shampoo, conditioner or body wash which are provided as complimentary items in places that charge such an amount. However, the staff was very helpful that they provided their private shampoos and body wash but, they can really improve on these aspects.
