Mount Crest Holiday Bungalow

Hi, Spent 2 memorable night in this place. Rooms and bathrooms ara clean. Hot water supply also in good condition.graat environment with reasonable garden that our children's enjoyed lot. Highly recommended

We initially booked for 3 nights and had to cut short for one night due to poor condition of the facilities specially the cleanliness of the property isn't great. We noticed bed covers, pillow covers had some strains and need a good wash. Kitchen is a shared kitchen with caretakers and utensils left uncleaned.

However this property has disco lights and karoke speakers (old style) with outside BBQ facilities, may good for group who doesn't bother about hygiene or cleanliness but the space of living room or outside views

Host Jagath is a good gentleman, however he should find a good caretakers of the property keep it cleaned.

The best place to stay at Nuwaraeliya. Rooms were clean and tidy. Owner of this property also very kind and genuine gentleman. We stayed two nights of this place. Also we visited twice on this year. 7km away from the city center that’s not an issue. Just go and enjoy your vacation. Prices are also reasonable. Finally this is a great place to stay

The place is excelent, clean and the lady who s taking care of the bungalow is so nice and kind. Highly reccomended. No objection for loud music and noices. We were able to party with loud music open doors without any complaint in the mid night.
Owner is also very nice and flexible. I have been a visitor of this bungalow since 2017 and will be my first choice whenever we make it to Nuwara Eliya.

Had a pleasant stay at the premises, Mr. Jagath the owner of the place was a really Genuine very friendly person treated all of us well and we enjoyed our stay, the food was amazing and the people there was very helpful and kind. The place was very clean the heaters showers and beds were all at the best condition itself, the bathrooms were clean the environment was very pleasant we enjoyed our stay very much and would definitely visit again.

Nice bungalow. Comfortable rooms. But there wasnt hot water always. Cook's food was too spicy.

Place was excellent, clean and peaceful. Has a lovely garden and also nearby to many tourist attractions. Caretaker was really helpful and she cooked up delicious meals.overall can recommend to anyone.

Had a lovely stay at Mount Crust - Hakgala. Place was clean and neat. Calm environment. The lady who is the caretaker really nice. She made yummy foods for us. The place is highly recommended for anyone need a nice place for reasonable price.

A great place set at a beautiful location to cherish sunrises and enjoy sunsets, be it with friends or family or both. There's enough room for all! Both the owner and staff are very hospitable, and the food remarkable.i really love this place

The bungalow was so amazing, spacious and cozy. We had so much fun! Would definitely go back there. The owner is very friendly and the rent for the bungalow is unbelievably affordable. There is an outdoor fireplace with stone benches and you can also barbecue outside! ️️️

Just a nice place with only an outside view. Inside not clean and staff not welcoming to guests. Little kid there likes a salesman in pettah street. There is no hot water in two rooms. Also not provide any emergency light in power cut time.
Overall a bad selection for us.

The place and the location is quite good and Mr. Jagath the owner is welcoming. The rooms and washrooms are nice with hot water.
However the negative side is the two ladies who are supposed to be Caretaker's does not proactively provide anything, when we wanted hot water we had to ask multiple times to get it, same story to get a additional plate, knife. The biggest issue was rations that we provide for them to cook vanishes very soon, so have a budget to spend on more rations. Without evidence I do not want to accuse, however be aware about the amount of meat you give gets cooked and makes it way to the table or else your in for a surprise. In our case a whole chicken was given what we got was scraps. The best part is the Caretaker's does not know what happened. And has the audacity to show attitude also.

Super place to spend a few days with your family. Staff is courteous and very, very helpful. Take all your provisions, great cook of local and Indian dishes. Enough space for children to play around. Close proximity to Hakkala gardens and Ambewela farm.

Our first trip after the lockdown eased, was to Nuwara Eliya and based on many positive reviews and recommendations, we chose Mount Crest Holiday Bungalow. The place was very easy to locate and when we got out of our car, it felt like being on top of the world. The view was amazing; mountains all around with fresh air humming around us.

The bungalow was very homely and inviting. The rooms were very spacious and had attached bathrooms. The living area of the bungalow was very cosy and the dining room was large and spacious.

A nice, warm cup of tea greeted us made by the in-house chef and she was very obliging when cooking our meals. She has the ability to cook a wide range of dishes be it Sri Lankan, Western or Indian. The rooms were very cosy and were at the perfect temperature for a good night's sleep. The view of the sunrise from the rooms was just glorious.

We thoroughly enjoyed our 4 day stay and the bungalow was about a 10min drive from the Nuwara Eliya town. I highly recommend Mount Crest as this is the ultimate spot to get away from the stress; the ultimate spot for rest and relaxation.

Perfection is the best way to describe this place. This is my fourth time going there and it gets better every time! The staff is really kind and caters to your personalised needs and requirements. But the main highlight of the bungalow is the owner, he is really kind and will give his 200% to make sure you have a memorable stay.
Located on the top of a hill, the view from the bungalow is simply breath taking. Under the recommendations from the staff, I managed to wake myself up to see the sunrise and it was definitely worth it! The orange sky with the sun coming up through the mountain range is a sight I will never forget!
The food was authentic and loaded with flavour and spices. The staff will make anything you ask them to except sting hoppers and hoppers and such, which was mentioned by the owner at the time of the booking. The BBQ they made was spot on and exactly what we expected. There's a super chilled out area outside for drinking and a bon fire area too which the boys loved.
I'd also like to mention a point about a previous review over here, saying the washrooms were a bit dated. I also mentioned this to the owner on my last visit and when we went this time, it was all RENOVATED! The washrooms were newly tiled and had modern fittings and this really gives you nothing to complain about!

Our whole gang enjoyed the stay, the host is very kind and friendly and helped in anything we asked. Excellent cook and very clean.

Great place to weekend away with friends or family. Nice view from the rooms. Outdoor and indoor fireplaces. Enough space outside to have fun.

Location - Close to town and spots to visit. Has a nice outdoor garden area to hang with friends/fam. Very homey/ cozy.

Space - Can house a large group. Clean bathrooms. Awesome outdoor campfire site (use it!) where the food is cooked for you if you provide the needful.
