Nice View Homestay

We spent two nights with this accommodation. The place is surrounded by nature, very close to the center but at the same time far from the chaotic rhythm of the city. The owners are very kind and helpful. Breakfast good.

So we can really only give a positive recommendation here!
The whole family looked after us so nicely without being intrusive!
You have a great view from your own balcony, the rooms are clean and with the scooter (rented directly from the family) you can reach Ella center in 4-5 minutes.
The cooking here is incredibly good and the cooking course in particular was more than brilliant ;)
I'm now looking forward to the Kottu Rotti at home:)

Had a great experience staying here. We were a group of friends and took 3 rooms for 3 nights. Ishari was very helpful and made sure that we had a comfortable stay throughout our visit.
It was just a short tuktuk ride down to Ella town where you can find many restaurants and bars. Bruno their Dalmatian is the sweetest dog and always put a smile on our faces.

We can highly recommend this accommodation! Ishari and her family are very warm and caring people. They made us feel like part of the family and made sure we lacked for nothing. Ishari supported us in everything possible and gave us good tips. The accommodation offers a great view and is a bit away from the city center, so perfect for relaxing. We can also highly recommend the Cooking Class. We had an unforgettable time here and would 1000% come back. Thanks for that

Such a nice stay! The owner is such a cheerful and helpful lady, she organised us a driver and was helping with everything we need. Hotel is kinda far from city center but it guarantees peaceful, quiet nights and the best views

We had a great time at Ishari’s place!
The owner welcomed us warmly, made us tea and showed us around. Room and bathroom were very clean. During our entire stay, Ishari has been very keen to fulfill all our wishes.
The view from the balcony IS indeed very nice and we enjoyed our time there during the short rain showers in the afternoon.

This homestay is amazing, in the middle of nature and with a beautiful view. The hosts are very friendly and welcoming. They are at disposal for all your questions. This guesthouse also has a lot of service as the rental scooter, laundry, cooking class, and much more.
The room was very clean and comfortable. The breakfast was with typical food and fruits. I recommend staying here if you go to Ella.

We would absolutely recommend staying at this homestay. The owner and her family are super friendly and welcoming. The breakfast was very delicious and the price is very good for what they offer: clean rooms, a big bathroom and a magnificent view on Ella Rock! 10/10

We spent only one night in the home stay but we enjoyed it a lot. The view is beautiful, the area peaceful and the hosts helpful and kind. All in all a great value for money.

This place was absolutely amazing! Awesome view and lovely helpful family. The lady arranged everything for us for very good price. We had also many nice talks:) recommend!

It was a really nice place, good rooms and excellent service! The family made us feel like home. The hotel had a huge balcony where you can relax and enjoy the beautiful sunrise. Visited with 5 friends! Better to live here than in Ella downtown. Nice place to hike the surrounding mountains!

Superb experience. Especially the view in the morning was breathtaking. The misty cold nights were releiving us so much. Nice breakfast with quality tea in the morning. Really reccomend this place.

Friendly family place. Decent breakfast, cosy and out of the way. We rented a scooter from them which made coming and going much easier.

Its very dangerous steep climb to the location and also deeper drop to parking. No chance of turn around. So your travelling to city is limited. Good for back packers and 3wheel people. Very dissapointed. Thia was not communicated not published. One we reachonly notixed.

I donot want to give one star also.i would give -10 negative marking for this hotel.its horrible.the person in the reception is illiterate and doesnot know how to talk.he misbehaved with me.he cancelled my booking made through booking.com and offered me the room that was dirty, no hot water, no kitchen stuff and told me, he will shift me in a better room post 1pm, but he charged me the same money and later denied to shift me.on asking for the transfer to another room, he threatened me that he will throw my luggage and that no one, not even the police can do anything as its situated in a remote corner of the city.he denied to give me a bill also.there are locals drinking just near the entrance and someone taunted me as well.its NOT AT ALL a safe place to stay

please i would request DO NOT CHOSE THIS PLACE TO STAY. I request.i have a few pictures taken of the surrounding to prove that i had stayed with them. IT WAS HORRIBLE EXPERIENCE.

This family was so warm and welcoming! We had a lovely stay at their place.
Our room had an amazing view over the mountains. We could see the sunrise from our bed! The breakfast was delicious.
Highly recommend!

Unfortunately im going to rate this place down cuz of the room it was a little bit smelly not enough ventilation the internet didn't reach it so i had to stay outside in front of the owner pouch to use the internet.the bathroom was ok but the sink didnt have hot water so the water was cold the towel had a a bad smell.i asked the owner for another one but it still smelled bad when i wipe myself with it (the smell that comes when you leave your cloth inside the washing machine for a while) the house entrance have a bit of rough stairs so if your knee is bad good luck.the house had a power outage twice the second night.later on i asked the owner he said that this area of the city (Kitelella road) sometimes have power outages.i think the owners should at least warn guests that this might happen.the stray dogs didn't stop barking at night it's quite annoying.before i leave i gave my feedback to the owner nicely, she seemed receptive 2 hours later she cancelled my booking request so i dont rate her down.i honestly was going to give 4/5 for the owners and 2/5 for for the place.but now i will give 2/5 for owner and 1 for the place.

(-) It is a bit far from the rail station, about 45 mins walking on a steep hill.
We ended using the TukTuk every time we wanted to go to the center (about 250 ruppes each time)

Owners were very friendly. Room was clean, came with hairdryer, adapter and mosquito net. Breakfast was served when you wanted and was really nice, enough food to set you up for the day. Can rent a scooter or a tuk tuk, do a cooking class and laundry also. Food such as curry is also available to order. Owners are great at providing information to you. Only downside is it is 3km walk to main restaurants etc but a nice walk none the less.

Excellent place to stay in Ella, far from the noise and the chaos of the city center that became extremely touristy.

The rooms are simple and clean. The view is very nice. The people of the family are very nice and helpful. There is a breakfast that is included and the it's worth it for the money.

The location is far from the city center, but it is easy to catch a tuktuk. Otherwise, the location is perfect to hike in the mountains and to discover the area.
