11 A jungle resort, very Nice and quiet guest house & Very good location if you plan to visit Hortons Plains, the His family will organize everything you need to go there, They provide delicious food and drinks and friendly service Best resort I've ever stayed in, If you are also going to visit the area, book the Jungle Resort today.
Thanks.
The resort is 1.5 km away from Ohiya station. Our room was sufficient for six people, with an attached bathroom with hot water shower. Bed covers were provided along with pillows, but no towels.
Rotty, string hoppers, deviled chicken, tea, and beer made our tummies full.
Room fee is 1200 per person, including tea. For 5of us Rs. 18,000 /- including room, dinner, breakfast, beer.
Firstly should tell you they gave us an extremely satisfied service. The food was freshly cooked at that time and we got what we requested. Clean and neat rooms with hot water and reasonable prices. They got a rescue service if you need help with the devil's staircase route or anywhere near the resort.
Nice and quiet guesthouse! Very friendly and welcoming family! They cook very well, we had amazing breakfast and diners there. Very good location if you plan to visit Hortons Plains, it is not far away and the family will organize everything you need to go there. You just have to enjoy then
This is a amazing place and good service & everything. I specially Thanks for the Butler kumara….
This is very good place and friendly commending. Fair rates and very trusted place.
Any time visit.
One of the few good places at Ohiya to stay a single night. Located closer to the railway station on the Boralanda road. Friendly hosting at a cheap price. Dinner can be arranged. Breakfast is available early in the morning and ideal for the visitors planning visit Horton Plains. Three wheelers can be arranged too. Car parking and hot water is available.
It’s a simple but lovely place and the nice staff arranges everything for the sunrise trekking at Horton Plains National Park and also everything else you might need. Make sure you bring warm clothes, it’s quite cold in the night. You might need to ask for a second blanket.
Friendly host, nice place
very close to horton plains
no wifi and gsm, digital detox)
weather is cold, especially at night
This place suitable for one night (medium condition). Owner is a helpful man. This not a homestay type place, separate small house with two beds (double bed and single bed) and a attached bathroom (hot water available).
This place is in the Ohiya rural village (small village). It is much closer to Ohiya raiway station. You can visit Horton Plains National Park via Ohiya entrance. Very beautiful environment. Road condition is normal. You can come to ohiya village following ways:
1. Haputale-> Boralanda-> Ohiya.
2. Kalupahana junction->bambarakanda falls->devil's staircase trail->ohiya.
The staff was very approachable and helpful. The breakfast, dinner and all the food and beverages were really good. The owner and the staff was very freindly and really helpful.
We got stucked at Devilstaircase without any food, water or mobile signal, cz one of our motorbike had a breakdown. Somhow we managed to find the mobile signal and called the owner of this place. Then he and his team came to save us. We will never forget that help and the effort.
Highly recommend!
