Good place and beautifull location
Idalgashinna railway station is close to this hotel and I can reach this hotel by train. Coming from Colombo, Idalgashinna railway station is 100m away.

People here are very kind. Food is very tasty. Rooms and bathrooms are very clean and nice. The beds are so comfortable. The location is exotic.located on top of a mountain.fog comes and fills up the valley in front of the place. This is the closest place to the railway station. This is the best experience I got at idulgashinna.

I lived in Beauvais Estate (Below Idalgashinna) during my teenage years. I was longing to go and see this place for a long time and a few of my friends had arranged a trip and invited me. I jumped at the idea and we stayed at the Peak Rest. The best view of the sunrise is from the porch of Peak Rest which cannot be captured from anywhere else. The location is just 2 minutes walk from the Idalgashinna Railway station. Travelling to the closest Tourists locations such as Horton place, Udaveriya Estate, Ambewela, Pattipola are so convenient by train. We also enjoyed the great food and the hospitality rendered by Jeeva and Chandra. We did buy some fresh fruits and vegetables to take home. It was one of the homely, friendly and enjoyable holiday that we had at Peak Rest Home away

At Peak Rest rooms come with a seating area. Nuwara Eliya is 44 km from the accommodation, while Bandarawela is 19 km from the property. The nearest airport is Mattala Rajapaksa International Airport, 109 km from Peak Rest

Honestly me and my family had an amazing time at the Bungalow.let me start of by saying the owner lady is tremendously nice, welcoming and generous for she made us delicious home made Sri Lankan cuisines like Kiri Bath, Lunu midis, and Wade for Avurudu and it was on the house “free of charge”. And the Chicken Curry & Rotti she made us for dinner was absolutely delicious and will be in my palette forever. Last but not least her Rice Curry combination and the different variety of spices used was incredible to say the least. The family room is spacious, clean and cozy. The garden is a sight to behold, filled with a plethora of flowers as well as mind blowing view of the Valley, mountains and the small village which is ever so slightly covered by the clouds. I would definitely go back there, and recommend others to come as well.

Perfect in every aspect. Stunning views, delicious food and a spotlessly clean room and bathroom. I'm already planning my return. Best to arrive by train at Idalgashina station as the road is impassable unless you have a four wheel drive. Great place for chilling. There are a few very small shops near the bungalow and the station if you need snacks or drinks.

Outstanding hospitality. Clean and well maintained. Worth going there just for their delicious food and the great view you see from the garden. I reached the place after a solo hike and they really made me feel home. I would recommend this place to anyone. Would love to go again. Wish them all the best!

Super nice and friendly host, amazing sunrise and amazing view. Highly recommended to backapackers and those who enjoy travelling far away from all-inclusive hotels and crowds. Transport only by train that goes almost to the front door. We wish to come back!

A place I will never forget from where I have been. Owner lady is friendly. The food she prepares is delicious. The rooms are clean. The prices are reasonable.

Amazing place. The owenrnis very friendly and they took a good care of us. You will have some breathtaking sunrise in the morning. If you visiting here make sure to hike Idalgashinne mountain. Also, the only access to the Peak rest is via train it is not possible to access via vehicle unless you have to risk a lot.

Situated close to the idalgashinna railway station and it is the only place you can stay in idalgashinna. Very nice place with nice location. Really tasty meals.

Decent place to stay. 4 rooms are available with 2 bathrooms. Two room are interconnected and other two are separated. One master bedroom is available with attached bathroom.
Accommodation cost is reasonable, Rs. 1000 per head in average. You need to purchase food separately which will cost Rs. 350 per meal in average. Food is not the 5 star style, but great for the moment. Ideal for a group of 10-15 who are planning a visit to Idalgashinna mountain. BBQ facilities can be arranged.
The landlady is very helpful and attentive.

Cozy homely place to stay in Idalgashinna which resides within walking distance to the Idalgashinna train station.
The owner lady is very pleasant and has excellent hospitality, she maintains the place cleanly and in good condition.
Good homemade food is available and you can request either packets or a buffet. There are two bathrooms and hot water is available. Has 4 rooms with double and single beds and if there are more people you can request extra mattresses.
Highly recommend the place because of the breathtakingly beautiful scenery you can see from the pretty garden they have.

One of amazing place visited in my life.
I found this place in gmap (4th Jan 2020) & went with my Family.
Road is horrible within 350m from tea factory to the guest house.you can keep your vehicle in the tea factory parking and hire a Trisho as an alternative option. I used my 4WD car to enter to the location.
Found pure kind hearted tamil women who own this property & try to arrange the things properly as best she can do while hiding the feelings of recent loss of her loving Spouse.
Bungalow is perfect & clean.issue is with wash room. The Lady arranged new built clean wash room for us.but existing old wash room is average condition & need to share with others.hot shower available.
Most nearest place to Idalgashinna train station (50m) & best place who is looking & traveling through train. Morning sight captured attached with this at the Garden of old architectural stone bungalow.
Food is tasty, clean & delicious.

One of the best location i have ever been. Superb view from the house with the mist. Good foods and clean rooms.
Road is not good at all. You shoud need to have a 4×4 vehical for the final 2.5KM. If you comimg by a vehical best option is to park your vehical at haputale station and get the train to idalgashinna. Which take only 15 mins to reach. House is just 50M away from the station. Recommended to go by train.
