Rainbow Sky Cottage

The reservation at the facility was made and confirmed on September 11. On January 9, the property informed me via Whatsapp that they were organizing a special religious program during the reservation period and asked me to cancel the reservation. Two weeks before arrival date.

We had a great stay. The accommodation was very comfortable and nicely decorated. Everything was very clean. Great view from the terrace.
The owner family is so nice and helpful! Even when we forgot money at the hotel after checking out, they made sure we got it back. Thank you for that!
We can highly recommend this accommodation!

We had a very relaxing 2 nights with Chandu, his mother and sister, surrounded by mother's vegetables - her first year growing yellow tomatoes. She is a very sweet humble lady and so is the whole family, makes you feel very cared for and welcome. Breakfast was huge and delicious, and it was all so affordable.

The rooms have the most incredible view of the valley below, the train line, the vegetable gardens and you can walk directly down to the train track and walk just 20 mins either to Ella, or to the waterfall and on to Ella Rock. Clean and comfortable mattress, tea facilities provided and plenty of water available.

There is a great restaurant Bees Honey restaurant just below the guest house which is very popular and great fresh food.
Honestly we lucked out finding this place and I'd go again.

This is a very good place to stay in Ella.very close to Ella Rock.rooms are ok, have comfortable beds.mini freezer, hot water, attached bathroom etc.all there. I stayed two nights at this place.it was good time.

Emplacement difficile d'accès, chambre avec aucune isolation, présence de nombreux insectes et pas d'eau chaude. En plus on nous a fait payer plus cher la chambre!

The owner is very humble person. Their family is good. Food is also good. Aunty is very caring. Mostly European guests are here but for indians also its highly recommended.

We stayed four nights at the Rainbow Sky Cottage. The guesthouse is being run by a lovely family, and Chandhu, the son, arranges the transportation and practical things. His mom is a kitchen wonder and father is always around to help out.
We stayed two nights at a standard room which was ok, but the very low water pressure and small bedsheets were a bit uncomfortable. The other two nights we stayed at a deluxe chalet room and this room was a lot better as it had bigger sheets, more storage space, and better water pressure.

The food was simply amazing and the family does their extreme best to make it comfortable for the guests. We had a great time going for hikes, enjoying the views, and just exploring Ella.

To reach the place you need to enter and walk through the school yard and then some steps down, but that was no issue.

Nice view. You can enjoy the train. Still difficult to access. Water very slow. Clean ok. Foods good price also reasonable.

Beautiful views and nice place. Food is excellent. Slightly outside town, up the hills, but they have a tuk tuk available at all times to run into and back from the town. Really friendly family running the entire place.

This was a difficult place to find. But the owner helped us to find it. The place is amongst mountain and view is great. The charlet is clean and has all required things.

We had the surprise to find out that Rainbow sky cottage canceled our redervation for 2 nites without warning us. So we arrived at 7pm after 5 hours of drive tired and sweaty, in a black nite where you can't see anything and the owner tells us "no, your booking has been canceled". Couldn't you send me one mail to warn me, as I booked this room one month ago? Couldn't you try to find some kind of solution? ! This Inn looks great and has great reviews (that's why I chose to book it) but I can't believe how unprofessional the owner behaved towards us.

Great place to lodge.delicious lankan food is cooked on request. Got a nice view. Highly recommended!

Lovely owners, secluded and quiet, only two rooms here, plentiful home cooked meals, amazing sunrise. Couldn’t ask for more!
