The Ceylon-German Technical Training Institute (also known as CGTTI or German Tech) is an engineering college located in Moratuwa, Sri Lanka. It is under the preview of the Ministry of Youth Affairs and Skills Development.

It was established in 1959 under an agreement made in 1958 between the Governments of the Federal Republic of Germany and Ceylon to supply training assistance in the maintenance of bus fleet, which belonged to the Ceylon Transport Board (CTB) and was located at the central workshops of the CTB at Werahera. In 1974, the institute was shifted to Moratuwa. CGTTI was under German management with a German Director until 1974, when the management was transferred to Ceylon and a Director/Principal appointed.

Best Place to learn about mechanical technology In Sri lanka, pretty sad they don't give NVQ lvl 5 even though course is better than most places that give NVQ lvl 5.

The course fee is very low.
Teachers are qualified as well as student friendly.
Has a wide range of lessons to be chosen.

It's not a place it's a peace of haven. There was a lot of vehicles, engines, machines and more. We love this place so much because we grow up in this place. We learn so much things in this area. I suggest you have to see this place because that much things in this place.

One of the best technical training institution of sri lanka. Major in automobile secter. But they touch new ways.power electrical, mecatronic etc are the training. They handle part time course in eight sectors. Most are 150 hours basis. It is best way to learn technology. More than thousand student are learning anually. They earn NVQ certificate as well as NAITA craft and they own CGTTI certificate too.

Best technical college in sri lanka.it develop skills of student.this institute start in make technician for repair german bus.but now more courses in this one.auto mobile, auto electrical, industrial mechatronics, power electrical, welding, air condition, milwright, too machine etc.these courses continue full time and part time.all student must work basic workshop and pass the exam before follow cources.

The institute was originally established in 1959 at the premises of the central workshops of the Transport Board of Sri Lanka at Werahera.
