Joseph Fraser Memorial Hospital reviews
27So disappointed.such a good hospital but with the management change (Ninewells took over) the administration has been REALLY BAD! Came for a checkup, our appointment number is 3, but we had to wait 2 hours till we met the doctor; we saw about 8 other patients going before us. The staff did not have a clue either on how to manage the process.
You don't feel like you are at a hospital at all. Staff is supportive and well trained. Clean and calm environment with a greenery view. Less crowded decent hospital.
This rating is for the call center. After Ninewells tookover of this hospital, it's nearly impossible to contact the extension for consultant channelling. It just says "There are no available agents in the queue at this moment" and disconnects the line. It's sad to see the deterioration of this beautiful hospital after Ninewells' takeover.
These guys never answers phone. Worst call management when it comes to hospitals. When you call them you'll be directed to a waiting list.and youll be stuck with in the list forever and ever
Everything’s great about this hospital and service, but personally wish they had CCTV camera’s installed, as I misplaced an item and they don’t have a proper allocated team to handle it nor any cctv facilities!
After taking over by Ninewells the service levels have drastically reduced. No one answers phone calls and keep the caller waiting for hours
Was a place like home when my baby angel born here at this room. And after renovation the place is like a business place. But yet we found the same staff and doctors are having same family attitude.highly recommended for the pregnant mothers, delivery, babies.
Please try to get phone operators on board,
I have called you more than twenty times,
No one is answering the phone.
Please try to fix this problem
Very disappointed.
Thanks.
A doctor channelling which was booked for April got cancelled due to this hospital maintenance. So we had to book another hospital and we were primised by the hospital staff that the amount will be refunded, but still no response. When I called, a person promised a call back which never happend. Terrible service!
Beautiful location Nice and calm atmosphere. Less crowded hospital. I went for my baby, s 5 year vaccination.
Very quiet hospital. Staff is very friendly. Seems the ideal place to take your kids as it is not crowded as the other hospitals.
I was thoroughly impressed with the care I received at Joseph Fraser Memorial. I didn’t really “get” the whole appeal of the resort-like elements, focusing more on standard of care and medical practices.
However, in addition to being a beautiful location, my care team was highly skilled, very professional, and very empathic. A grand slam as we might say in America. The lush aesthetics are just the icing on the cake, and I must say do make recovery easier. I mean, what’s better… doing laps around a dreary washed out hospital ward, or walking around a gorgeous garden with peaceful white birds and frangipani trees
I'm trying to contact the hospital last 3 days and the phone line is not working. There's only one number to contact the hospital it seems. Poor service
Prof. Hemantha Senanayake was extremely professional and kind. The best medical support I received. Friendly and attentive staff and Doctors. The serene vibe made it a comforting experience.

Don’t hesitate to have your procedure here, and if you’re considering myomectomy, schedule with Dr. Senanayake, he’s great. Also Sister Paul was an excellent nurse, her positivity really buoyed me.
Very quiet hospital. Staff is very friendly. Seems the ideal place to take your kids as it is not crowded as the other hospitals… Special Thanks goes to Nursing staff and Dr Fayyaz mahin
Very quiet hospital. Staff is very friendly. I’ve only visited as an out patient. Seems the ideal place to take your kids as it is not crowded as the other hospitals
A unique hospital within the heart of Colombo.
They have created a very calming and soothing environment for the patient. Excellent service and friendly and helpful staff members.
The atmosphere is probably the most calming and relaxing hospital in Sri Lanka. The doctors and nurses are awesome. Hands down the best hospital in Sri Lanka for Deliveries
Customer Service are down to appalling levels. I called the Pharmacist today to inquire about a prescribed cream. After her confirmation on availability and closing time at 9pm, I visited there around 8.15pm to find out that no one was at the counter. Even the receptionist did not have any clue on where the pharmacist went off to and even her mobile was unreachable! After a good 45 minutes getting all the support staff to go find for her. She leisurely walks in from her staff quarters asking me why the fuss and asks if she can't even have her dinner peacefully! Had to tell her off and said having dinner is her right but either do so after her shift or delegate some else to cover her absence or atleast inform the receptionist (who was the only visible person around that the time) that she will disappear for sometime.later right in front of me, when the manager called her to inquire about this she gives another false reason saying she went to clean her room (during her paid shift times mind you). Worst than government hospital staff! Didn't even care for a simple apology as well.a few bad eggs like this with a rude attitude can bring down all the good work built up by the other employees.
Had a wonderful birth experience here. The doctors and nurses are top notch! Beautiful and peaceful atmosphere.
