Good hostel for ladies. Convinient and safe. Pickup drop off parking available. Road is made one way recently. It is bit inconvenient.

Food is nice & healthy in YWCA cafeteria. Very clean place.prices are reasonable. Very clean place. Staff is very friendly.

Worst place for a girl to stay, NOT SAFE AT ALL! Staff was very rude specially the warden. They don't care about girl's safety at all. Fire broke out and thieves barged in while girls were sleeping. They treat hostellers like slaves even though they pay. They give dirty and expired food to hostellers while they sell good food to Lunch customers. Lunch given to hostellers are completely different from what they actually sell at the cafeteria for outsiders. Random and weird customers come to the cafeteria and they try to interact with girls which is not safe at all for a girl who is staying alone in Colombo. Rooms and bathrooms are in a really bad condition. Sometimes no water for 2 plus days. Girls get bitten by rats when they sleep. This is funny to hear but rats do roam everywhere in the hostel even in the cafeteria. The old building that's about to collapse and some electric appliances are in a really bad condition and shape. During rainstorms rooms get flooded because of holes in the roof but they don't care to renovate or fix them. Senior hostelers bully new comers inside rooms and there are some girls with very bad behaviors. More importantly they never take responsibility for anything that happens inside the hostel. If you are planning on staying here think twice! Please consider your safety and healthcare!

Lunch available at the YWCA cafeteria. Food is healthy and the price also reasonable.

Poorly maintained girls hostel. I paid LKR 1000 for a place with cockroaches, rats and screaming kitchen ladies who was constantly nagged to switch off the lights of the dorm that I had stayed.
