Pleasent environment. Food takes a lot of time. And the quality of the meat wasn't great for the chicken burgers and the chicken wraps. Waffles were fine. The chef asked us for a feedback and he received it very well.

The staff was very welcoming. Very warm welcome and the service was top notch. Went there for a lunch meal with a friend while roaming around in Galle. The shawarma tasted really bad. The chicken burger was satisfactory. With very less expectations dove into the chocolate waffle and it was surprisingly very good. When we were about to leave the place the Chef came to us and asked why more than 3/4 of my shawarma was leftover. He was very attentive for my comments and gave me a warm handshake. All in all super service but food can be improved alot!

A perfect stay for a trip to Galle. Small, comfortable rooms with a lovely big bathroom and a great shower. Very friendly and helpful staff and a good breakfast. An ideal location for exploring this beautiful city.

Situated inside the Dutch Fort at Galle, this old building has been sympathetically restored, with a restaurant opening onto the road and 5 uniquely designed rooms. It's well positioned to explore the narrow streets within the fort, walk along the ramparts and enjoy its history seen in the buildings. Its sister hotel a few doors along at no. 44 has a pool that guests in both Deco hotels can use.

Despite it's exterior, the fort is a very cosmopolitan area, reflected in the variety of food styles on offer, and don't be afraid to haggle in the shops for that wood carving or piece of jewellery that catches your eye. Restaurants close at 10pm but it's advisable to go to a restaurant by 9pm latest. Plenty of tuk-tuks to take you into the city of Galle or one of the fabulous beaches along that part of the coast.

Nice boutique hotel and really attentive and helpful staffs. However, we do find it quite ridiculous to be paying more than 5,000LKR (equivalent to $45 Singapore dollars) for laundry as they follow a “price per clothing” system instead of by the total weight. I mean in Ella, they charge us by the latter and we’ve only paid like. 400LKR? But we do get that this hotel is located in Galle Fort and everything here is generally way more expensive.so we’ll make peace with that.
