7th Sky Idyll

A guy (Mario) from Sri Lanka asked us if we wanted to have surfing lessons with him, which we took advantage of. When asked how much it cost, he replied that he had to ask the surf rental company, then everything went very quickly and he pushed us into the waves (worst surfing lessons I've ever had, he didn't listen to me once). Wants to paddle my waves himself and didn't teach me anything, let alone listen to them)
He then said that it would cost $150 for three quarters of an hour.

Don't pay more than $25 per unit per board, that's a fair price, everything above that is a rip off.

Hotel and cafe right on the shore, very tasty food - the best place in Ahangama, super friendly staff, friendly dogs, very hospitable owner - Ratna. If you wish, you can take surfing lessons and rent boards. We went to this place 6 days in a row for the whole day.

Don’t go there! What a dirty and unfriendly place! The owner was very impolite, the rooms are dirty and the food was awful! Most shabby hotel! Never again!

I write about the cafe:
I ordered chicken of cream soup, but it was just regular chicken soup, not cream at all. Didn't order anything else. They brought a check for juice, although they should have been for soup. My friend got the wrong change. Very careless.

We went to 7th sky edyll today for lunch with the family. We ordered food before having a sea bath. Even afterthe sea bath we had to wait exactly one to get our food. Which we asked them to keep ready by 1.30 pm and we got it n our table at 2.30. When we asked why the food was delay, they saidtheowner has gone to the fish market to buy fishfor our full fish dish. Finaly after one hrs food was served 3 times. Mixed rice is mixed with 5 skinny pieces of sausages and 4 tiny chopped chicken. Then after 15 mins we got over boiled the mixed noodles which was horrible. Finally got the full fish.mustard sauce is yack.the chilly past is with chilly, chopped onion and water. We wanted to have a chat with the master chef then only we got to know The same man runs the rolls as the owner, shopping boy, chef and cleaner. Be careful if you are going their for lunch or dinner. Their food is horrible. Not recommend for meals. Not worth at all.

Had the worst ever experience with the owner. He is one of most rude and not welcoming guy. He is local and was trying to threaten me which was the worst thing he did. I will assure this attitude of his will go viral on my blogs with 500,000 Followers. He needs a lesson to learn about hospitality. Shame on you

Great location, just on front of Kabalana beach. Cristal water even if the ocean is a bit rough here. Very good waves for surfing indeed. Next to the rock popular reef break and next to other very great reef breaks. The beach break sometimes works very nice trough the season (Nov-Mar).

The hotel is nice. Nothing to fancy, but ok. Some rooms have been built as new in 2018/19 and others are a bit old and might need some maintenance. However, to be in Sri Lanka it is a quite good place.

Generally a quite place. Food is not the best, especially coz they are trying to do European food. When they do the curry, is just amazing.

The owner is a good man. Sometimes they do some events, but nothing really busy.

Potential place, but with lack of Love i would say.

A dream come true vacation and this place was the reason for it. It sits on the loveliest beach. Has surf board renting facilities and professional coaches to train you. The staff and friendly and make you feel really welcomed. It's got a lovely sit out area where there are hammocks and tress to provide the perfect amount of shade. And for those looking for a nice tan, there is a lovely area to bask away in the sun.
