Family run hotel, very nice, clean. The owner takes care of all details with such kindness. They make you feel at home. The accommodation is great, nice garden with a pool. Rooms are really comfortable.

The final and most welcoming accommodation in Sri Lanka! A small hotel with 6 huge rooms, a large loggia with comfortable armchairs, ottomans, hammocks, and dining tables. There is a swimming pool where you can swim whenever your heart desires. The hotel is run by a family, wonderful people. Special thanks to my mother for the breakfasts, they are amazing, we were not fed this way in any hotel in Sri Lanka) They also prepare dinners from fresh fish, local curry, by the way, is not so spicy) there is a kitchen on site where you can cook for yourself or ask for your catch to be prepared) the rooms have everything for convenience, even after-sun cream. Separate garbage disposal and glass water bottles, in which you can always ask for some water:)

The best home stay in Sri Lanka. The whole family is incredibly friendly and helpful. The accommodation is very clean and nicely furnished and is located between Unawatuna and Galle. The hosts speak very good English and German. All meals are fresh and prepared with love.

A wonderful place for families and couples to relax by the pool and explore the Galle area. Host Gamini and his family are incredibly welcoming and the entire team provides excellent service! This starts at the reception with juice and cold towels, then continues with tips and help with local transport, all the way to airport transport. The rooms and the entire property are very clean. Thank you for your help when our daughter was sick, for the great time and the warm hospitality. We'd love to come back!

We had the most incredible stay with Abundia Homestay, it felt like a home away from home. The family was incredibly warm and welcoming to us all, especially our little boy. The food was fantastic, best we’ve had in Sri Lanka (make sure to eat dinner one night), extremely clean room and a great location. We were sad to leave.

I am gluten intolerant and this was also taken into account. They also arranged a surprise for our engagement, it was amazing! We would recommend this stay to everyone.

For a small extra charge, you can ask Gamini to buy and cook fresh seafood, we tried it and it was very tasty!

Abundia is such a great hotel and restaurant. We stayed for two nights at the end of the trip and we were so well taken care of by the family and staff.
It is hands down the best breakfast and rice and curry we had in Sri Lanka.
During our stay they opened up the restaurant to the public and the vibe was so lovely.
Honestly I can’t recommend this place enough!

This is a place you MUST stay for more days than one. The rooms are big and very clean. But the rooms are not the reason why you would like to stay here. It’s the hospitality and the kind people that help you. It’s called a home stay for a reason because within a few hours you’re already part of the family.
The facilities are well maintained and proper clean. The breakfast is so good and they have great tips to visit.
The location is perfect because you are out of the busy area near Galle but yet close to many great spots. They have some great contacts so you’d always be certain of a ride to a nice spot.

The very clean and spacious family room was very nice and cosy. The pool and garden invited you to linger. But especially the hospitality of the German-speaking owner and his staff was excellent! Thank you for everything!

Great homestay with very warm hosts!
The rooms are very clean and spacious, the complex is well located and the pool is a great place to relax. The host even brought us small refreshments and gifts free of charge every now and then, and the breakfast is also very rich and delicious.
We felt completely comfortable and will definitely be back!

It was near to perfection! The hospitality beyond need, the delicious food, the very well equiped and confortable room and balcony, the neat pool.everything was amazing and so safe in Abundia homestay! It was also very easy to catch a bus or a tuktuk as it's on the main road but still quite quiet at the same time. Don't hesitate to book if you want to be close to heaven

Let’s start with the warm welcome from the owner Gamini. Straight away you can tell he has such a strong heart and that proved throughout the stay.

Gamini and his team were so friendly and accommodating.

The room is super spacious equipped with everything you need. It has a huge fridge not like the standard small hotel fridges with a huge balcony and super comfy chairs. Could stay on the balcony chairs for days.

The rooms are equipped with AC and a fan. The bed was very big and comfortable.

Breakfast was included in the room which was served by the sweetheart Indana. Where I had a fresh fruit plate, and when I say fresh I mean super fresh.
You then had a choice of eggs, with toast, pastries and more.

Gamini’s son Urdzi was super helpful with transportation he arranged a Tuk Tuk and scooter rental for me.

Very nice stay, so good I ended up extending.

We had a very pleasant stay at Abundia. Very friendly and helpful people, clean and big rooms, nice pool and close to the beaches.
