Aqua Boossa / Sunset Beach Haven

We recently stayed at Sunset Beach Haven in Pittiwella Beach, Sri Lanka, and it was a truly wonderful experience. The location is great, right on the beach with breathtaking views of the ocean and beautiful sunsets (and moonsets too!). Having the ocean in their backyard is truly a treat!

The rooms were clean, comfortable, and decorated with a touch of local charm. The staff was very helpful and courteous throughout our stay.

The property features a lovely swimming pool and is conveniently situated near popular attractions like Galle Fort and Unawatuna Beach - a perfect balance of relaxation and easy access to nearby places of interest.

Overall, it's a great place to stay for a vacation in Sri Lanka!

We could not enjoy our stay because of the continual very loud traffic noise that could be heard everywhere on the property which sits right on the main road between Colombo and Galle. The front door is only 4m from the main road.

The icing on the cake were the large cockroaches in the bedroom.

Thank you so much for having us. It was amazing. The food was just delicious. Also Chandika and his wife are the best hosts.

For us it was great option to chill after long way. Swimming pool was clean, design of rooms was great, staff was really friendly.
And ocean right here

Only 2 things to check (manager promised that they will fix it) :
- Water pomp created noise in one room
- AC created noise in another room

Also want to say that breakfast was amazing

Tl;dr: Welcome to Paradise!

After a long trip from London, we couldn't have imagined a better way to cool down than putting on our swimming trunks and jump straight in the ocean, a few meters away from our room! The villa is freaking amazing, tastefully decorated and we had such a lovely stay. The rooms are super comfortable for our family (2 adults & 3 kids), the hosts were super nice and accommodating and we really felt spoilt during our entire stay. The best part? Hands down the food! Freshly cooked with whatever was caught that day, we basically didn't even want to leave the house for dinner and it was so nice to just chill with the kids in the garden and sample the amazing variety of dishes cooked by a true chef.

In short, so much nicer than any hotels we've stayed at during our Sri Lankan and no doubt this is where we'll stay next time we're in town. Thanks so much for everything!

Quiet, relaxing, such a beautiful home full of comfortable and tasteful furnishings. Wonderful attentive staff, discreet and obliging. Food has been amazing, as good as or better than any top restaurant with flavours to die for. It has been a wonderful relaxing end to a fascinating tour of this beautiful country. Lovely beach front villa with a pool with delicious meals cooked by the in-house chef. We felt very safe and secure when we stayed here with our son. Great location on a secluded part of the beach, yet close enough for a trip by tuk tuk into Galle Fort. The rooms are tastefully decorated, all with en suite hot showers. I am looking forward to returning next year.

The place is everything you’d imagine from the photos and more. Living next to the ocean in this simplistic but tastefully and thoughtfully done up villa is an experience to cherish. But what really elevated our experience to one of the finest was the charming hospitality and Michelin-star-worthy cooking of Chandika and Sreya. Chandika is a world-class chef who delights and surprises with every meal. He buys the fish the fish straight off the fisherman who come ashore on the beach next to the villa and cooks it fresh. A true artist, he goes to great pains to ensure that the food is presented as well as it tastes.
