THE WORST ACCOMMODATION IN SRI LANKA IN THE 2 MONTHS WE HAVE BEEN HERE. Upon arrival, we were asked to cancel the reservation on booking (supposedly because of the fees, but the truth is that she doesn't want bad reviews on booking) but immediately she wanted to pay extra in almost one sentence, which we refused. We were subsequently told that we had to go to the hotel next door for 1 night because she didn't have room for us in hers. When we wanted to wash the clothes, she said that it would be done in the evening and that it would be done in 2 days. The next day in the evening we received the washed clothes in a plastic bag, damp, steamy with white spots from undissolved washing powder, so it can be washed again and it was still relatively expensive. You can feel from the lady that she wants to get as much money as possible out of you, because she asked each of us personally if we have already paid for the accommodation. Anywhere else in Sri Lanka they only wanted payment when leaving the accommodation. The next day we were at the beach and had to leave because the lady wanted us to move from the hotel next door to our original room immediately. But it wasn't cleaned yet, so we don't understand why she rushed us like that. Upon arrival in the room, only 1 light out of 4 was working, the air conditioning was noisy, old and almost non-functional, with the fan you slowly "fly up to the sky", the water in the shower is either boiling or ice cold, a small stream of water, mold on the ceiling that smells quite bad and that the worst is a mattress that is worn out and you roll in the middle when you sleep and your back hurts. When complaining about the mattress this morning we were told they would replace it.which didn't happen. Breakfast is the same every day and not very tasty. And most of all expensive.we negotiated $4 for breakfast.originally she wanted about $6.50 for 1 breakfast. More expensive than in a restaurant It occurred to us that since we didn't want to pay extra for the room, the lady charged for breakfast Unfortunately, I can't give a review on booking because I wanted to help the lady with the fees, so I canceled the reservation there. Hopefully this review will spread and no one will be fooled like we were.

Very clean, nicely appointed rooms. Solar hot water, WiFi and mini fridge.

Friendly service from the owner, the lady was really flexible with us by allowing our 3months Lab stay with us.

Lovely Asantha and her husband run this place. Always service with a smile. Short walk to the beach on a quiet lane with a few essential shops and a place that gives a really good massage. Also great rate for airport transfer.

Great value for money! Lovely owner who was super helpful. Very clean, large room and very hot shower.

The room doesn’t worth it’s price. It’s expensive and has poor conditions. The mattress, the towels are stained and look really bad. There is the smell of mould in the room and air conditioner can’t help with it, it’s old and noisy. You can’t sleep while it works at night. There are many cockroaches coming out at night. Some shampoo bottles were empty, so more likely nobody cleaned bathroom and the room properly. Moreover there was no toilet paper prepared.

The owner does everything for the money. Wishes does not take into account.
