Bentota River Safari

Wonderful safari in mangrove lagoon bentota river. Boat driver Mr. Pradeep done excellent job during two hours.

We left today at 07: 00 in the morning, as there is a greater probability of seeing animals.
The first time was boring, but when you enter the tunnel, it becomes more interesting.
For an additional fee, they offer to hold a small crocodile.

Don't expect much from the trip.
Do not forget to bring goodies for the monkeys, they are very friendly)

Rates were fair for a 2 hour bentota boat ride. We saw crocodiles, the green snakes, clicked pictures with baby crocodiles, went into the mangrove, saw monitor lizards and fed the black monkeys.

It was not bad. Before getting on the boat, it was said that you will see some examples of animals. We have seen and said that now is not a good season and time to visit the river and you should be at the river at 6 in the morning

Did a 2 hour ride for 8000 LKR. Very well worth the price. Highlight was going through the mangrove forest. Also the sunsets in the evening are so beautiful

We did the tour with Niranjan today. It took 2 hours and we paid 3000 rupees for the boat. He was a really great guide and had answers to all our questions. He took lots of photos for us (maybe he should become a professional photographer? ! ;) And we saw 3 crocodiles, a few warans, bats and birds (e.g. A kingfisher). If you want do see monkeys you should do the tour in the morning. We drove through the mangroves and to the ocean. We visited a herbal garden which was nice, but you should be aware that they ask for a donation and they have a shop where you can buy all the stuff they show you. Also Niranjan asked us, if we wanted to hold a baby crocodile, but we declined (I think there is a small fee for that). All in all, it was a great experience!

Very enjoyable safari through mangrove forests.leisure drive for all ages. Can witness exoitic birds small animals in the forest.
