Camellia Dwellings

Stayed a night at Camellia, very calm and an ideal place to relax. Place is clean and well maintained, great service by the owner.

Perfect place to stay. You would find clean and tidy rooms with all the necessary amenities. There’s a beautiful garden area too. Mr. Padmanath, the owner, is really friendly and helpful. He even gave us a lift to our destination the next day. Quality time spent.

Hi, in my room were cockroachs, at Airbnb websites is written a room in pension with breakfast, but the breakfast is not including. I think you can find better accomodation for that price.

An amazing homestay that I would pick definitely again! The house of the owner is simply amazing and his staff was so kind and helpful! Everything is really well maintained! We were even allowed to take a shower after check out!
His staff was simply amazing and made us feel home.

Only small improvement is the breakfast which was included in our rate, it's a bit too simple compared to other homestays we've seen but still enjoyable and I think they have further breakfast options available.

I can only recommend this place!

A great place to stay, absolute bargin. Big clean rooms in a family owend villa. The best part was the family themselves such happy people who couldn't be more helpful. Would 110% stay here again

We stayed at Camellia during November and it was a wonderful experience. Immaculate, lush tropical gardens surrounding the immaculate colonial bungalow. The welcome from Hiran was spontaneous and completely wiped out our tiredness. The room was spotlessly clean and all the facilities worked well. The breakfasts were enormous and really tasty (we chose the Sri Lankan food) and authentic.
Padmanath (Paddy) the owner went out of his way to make our stay in Hikkaduwa memorable with suggestions on restaurants, shops, sights etc. The visit to a cinnamon plantation and seeing the "peeling" process was a definite highlight. Gladly recommend a 100%. We will definitely be back.

Beautiful house and garden. The garden is well maintained and manicured that for a moment you don't feel like you are in down south Hikkaduwa. The caretaker/Butler at Camellia Dwelling - Hiran is very friendly helpful and accommodating. The rooms are spacious, very clean and comfortable. The bathroom is also really large. And all of this came at a surprisingly modest cost on air b n b. Its a very short walk to the beach. Wonderful place!

It was very private. My mother wanted to stay with us for one night and they didn't have any problem. Amazing owner. He offered us to check in later after we finish our diving course. Very flexible. Minutes walk to the beach.
