Theft of personal belongings at the hotel. Yesterday, 11/11/2023, we stopped at the Citrus Hotel, checked into a room, unpacked our things and went for a walk. When we returned, we didn’t find expensive women’s perfume, we went to check with the reception, they accused us that we didn’t remember anything and forgot it at home. The hotel staff steals, the reception staff covers for them. Take care of your things, I read in the reviews that branded items are also stolen. I do not recommend the hotel

I have visited there on 30th December and bookd FB basis two rooms. Hotel is good for stay.some staff members are good and helpful.except pool service staff.
We are not happy with the swimming Pool.that is placed infront of the lobby.and no changing room facilities near the pool.we have to pass lobby with our wet cloths to go to our rooms.pool staff doesnt give there attention to local guests.we complaint about them to their GM also.
Other thing is front team members are not flexible on guest requirements.we've requested 01 room to keep extra 1hour till finish our lunch.they said "you have to pay Rs. 3000/- per hour". Then we have to wait pool area with our kids and luggages until finish our lunch.
Then I dont know how I recommend this to others.

It is clear that the equipment is not new and somewhat tired. For those who like an all-inclusive holiday, we don’t leave the hotel, it’s probably not suitable.
The staff is helpful but in some places too intrusive in my opinion.
I don’t recommend the local restaurant; there are several excellent alternatives around.
There is a beach, but in this part of the island there is a very strong wave near the shore - you can’t swim. If you just surf (there is such an opportunity within walking distance). You can swim in the pool

Yes, I am aware that a 3-star hotel cannot provide us with the same level of service as a 5-star hotel. However, the quality of service provided to visitors (both domestic and foreign) should be monitored. I should state that there should be an improvement in the quality of service for the reasons listed below.

1. A broken tile in the pool caused my 4-and-a-half-year-old kid to get hurt. We told the front desk workers about it. She clarified, saying, "Yes, Sir, another guest complained and it has been broken for about a week. "

2. I asked for a glass of hot water from the service during dinner. It took him thirty minutes to deliver the glass.

3.3. It took us an extra ten to fifteen minutes to check out since my wife was covering my son's leg after he was injured in the pool. A caller from the front desk asked, "We did not receive your door key; at what time do you expect to hand it over? "

As a result, the service is horrible, so consider your options carefully before choosing one of Hikka's several 3-star hotels, which offer decent service.

Hotel was great.staff is super friendly love everyone of them. We recived a desent and clean room. In room dining is need to be improved. They have karoke events. Had so much fun

This is the situation of the buffet when i went there.we didn’t had our food properly.apart from that, i paid for two sea view rooms, but when i was check-in they tald us, hotel was very busy we don’t have any sea view rooms.and they gave us one room at the ground floor. A/C also cannot adjust. TV also didn’t work.most worse hotel I ever saw in my life.service, foods & room’s everything worse.

My friend was so surprised and happy to see the cake and decorations in his room. He had a wonderful time celebrating his birthday at Citrus Hikkaduwa, and I know that he will never forget it.

I would also like to thank you for the beautiful beach and the delicious food. We had a wonderful time swimming, sunbathing, and eating at your restaurants. The staff was always so friendly and attentive, and we felt very welcome at Citrus Hikkaduwa.

When people came to enjoy their free time, citrus Hikkaduwa doesn’t care it! We came to feel quite and peaceful vacation but noise and disturbances are really bothering us, it’s seems management also doesn’t mind that, really disappointed about all, even food as well, specially breakfast buffet, there have no varieties and limited food also really bad quality,
Staff are friendly and service are average. If you planing a peaceful time out this is not the place.

The staff is excellent. Always ready to go out of their way to may your stay comfortable.

We had a pleasant stay at Citrus Hikkaduwa. Staff were friendly and helpful. Covid guidelines were well adhered in this hotel. Rooms were spacious, had all the basic nessasities. The food were flavourful. All 3 meals were served as mini buffets because we went on weekday. Spread wasnt big but the food were flavourful and delicious. Evenings they had tea with a snackfrom 4 to 5pm, then free cocktails mocktails and bites for free from 6.30 to 7.30pm.all events were well organised. Only draw back was that there is no baby pool. We had a wonderful stay at this place. Thankyou and keep up the good work.

Great place to relax. Close to beach and city center. Free evening cocktails with evening tea / snacks was great for the price too. Only issue was Restaurent is hot and cramped. Not A/C hence, you need to go early for dining. Rooms are quite small equip with all amenities

Very less varieties in the dinner buffet for the price.
Food quality and taste also not good.

Standard has dropped. I suppose it is because of corona. Service was good. Food options were limited. Food was finished or almost finished the first night we went. Lot of people complained as we all paid for a buffet. Good music but too loud.

Very good hotel. Good service specially during Covid-19 pandemic. Foods were delicious. Really wanna go again. Love it.

Food is good in the buffet. Star was the desserts. Rooms are comparatively small. But you have your private balcony. These days they are running on budget i think. Because we were not able to find the dental kit, iron etc in the room. They only give these things if you ask them. Also they are giving cocktails for one hour with bites in the evening free of charge. Also some tea and rotti around 4 in the evening. Also there are offers for the booking these days.

We had a pleasant stay at citrus Hikkaduwa. Everything was great. Rooms were nice, clean and spacious. Food was tasty they had buffet but the spread was less. Unlimited cocktails were given from 7 to 8. We celebrated my dads birthday, the cake given to us was very tasty. Staff was very friendly and helpful but no one welcomed us when we came to the hotel I think they need to improve it. Pool is clean and nice. Overall we are happy with the stay.

Very friendly staff. I travelled with an infant where they cater all the demands without any hesitation. Food was very good. Pool was good. Rooms were clean. Did not charge anything extra. Beware of sea urchins if you are using the sea.

This is the best hotel ever. The staff was amazing and also the buffet of every meal was d-e-l-i-c-i-o-u-s. And also the Manager who is Mr. Dumidu who my husband is friends with was and still is very nice as well as the staff they were super kind to us. The cleanliness of the room and the pool were on point I truly recommend you to come to thus hotel. Enjoy your stay btw
