Dasu's Hut

My family and I have eaten at the restaurant several times. Here you get very nice food and always good service. The family who owns the restaurant are incredibly sweet and helpful. We used Ranji as a guide, he drove us around in Sri Lanka. We had a fantastic and educational experience. If you want the best vacation, use Ranji.

Food with great taste but over priced. Nice and quiet place.

My egg sandwich is 295 rupees - approximately 1.9$. The good point was that I could ask them to add garlic and fresh chilli to my egg and told them how I like it to be cooked. Waitress is friendly. They added 10% extra on my receipt; I didn’t ask; but maybe tax is excluded from price on menu. OK though!

Really tasty food at a good price. They speak good English, and it's a good spot to plan what you're going to do for the rest of your holiday!

If you ever go to Sri Lanka and then to Hikkaduwa, make sure to go there and have a meal.

Really small curry portion and not so tasty. Restaurant is opened on main road and so really noisy.

Local restaurant with over priced dishes for tourists only, you won't see locals eating here paying these prices. The chips and prawns were OK but prawns not fresh. The noodles were pretty average but filled us as we were hungry.
