I called this office to ask about the number plate of my vehicle. The phone was answered by a lady and she was very cruel. She doesn't know how to talk to people. Please fire them and recruit new employees who know how to speak politely.
It is a very efficient government department office that provides really good service. It is a bit difficult to find. Also, there is not much space to park the vehicles. Because this office is inside the Galle Fort which is a national heritage. I went to renew my driving license. There was no prior reservation. I directed the security officers to the relevant section very quickly. So even though it was very busy there, the officers provided service very friendly and very quickly. In fact, there are a group of officers who should be praised. They provide services in a very efficient and friendly manner. Cost me like 10 vinad for the whole process. Inside is clean. Can get service without any inconvenience, air conditioned.
Think Twise before come here.just go colombo to get one day service.this department is useless
The contact number is utterly useless. They NEVER answer the phone! But when you try again a second later, the number is always busy! Very disappointed about their efficiency.
I wish I could give them 0.5 star. Sadly the so called public servants working in license renewal department needs more proper way of talking to their customers. They have forgotten they live form tax payers money and they have employed by the government to serve the public.
I went there to renew my Sri Lankan driving licence and their question was why I came all the way to Galle to renew it. God sake I booked a time online for that and only time was available for my availability was at Galle. I literally didn’t know that they serve only Galle people and online booking system didn’t mention a such thing. There were one male and two females that day I went there. Staff discussed in front of me that they do this many cases a day and bla bla. One female working in that section suggested to send me back without taking my papers. Because I am not form Galle.
I kept my mouth shut because I don’t have a habit talking to so called “some “low mentally government servants. But if there is a such a thing DMT should revise their online booking system so customers from other provinces won’t be able to book appointments for their needs.
Poor service. I went there to renew my driving license. Even though I have booked a time-slot online, there is no procedure to get people according to the online queue. I waited more time until they call me, but finally I also had to follow the queue and submit my application.
I went this place to collect the number plates of my vehicle. Its at the 1st floor corner of rmv building. The service was quick and friendly.
They moved into this location recently.
Yo need The vehicle registration document commonly known as "Potha" and Your NIC or SLID or Driving licence to prove your identity and Previous Number Plates and the Sticker on the windscreen.
