Green Hill Paradise

Just like the name, this villa is paradise. The location is great, surrounded by beautiful trees, also very nice and quiet.
The pool was our favourite part, also a massive bonus that it doesn’t have too many chemicals in so there isn’t a really strong smell of chlorine.
From the room, the breakfast, the lounge areas outside the rooms- all of it is 10/10.
The hosts are by far the best part about it though, they made our experience even better than we imagined. They are very attentive, kind and welcoming people. Chira and Gaiya will take good care of you during your stay.
You can get massages on site which is also great, at a very decent price.
This is definitely the place to go!
We will be sure to come back in the future!

THE BEST HOSTS EVER!
Probably the most welcoming and wonderful hosts you'll ever come across. Made our stay here even better than it would have been, just the best people. Always there for you if you need help and make amazing breakfasts with fresh local fruits.
As for the villa itself. It's in a very nice location, close enough to the main road and beaches that you can walk but far away enough so it's nice and quiet. The room is very nice and spacious with a good working A/C and a comfortable bed. And the swimming pool is fantastic, it's bigger than I thought it would be from the pictures and (in our experience) not many people use it so it's like having a private pool. They also have a tuk tuk on site so if you need a lift somewhere they will take you for a reasonable fee.

Awesome view and my favorite location! I was staying here for a second time, and spent here around 1.5 months. The place is on the hilltop, surrounded by greens with the most beautiful sunrises. Feel completely safe, peaceful and quiet. Sri Yoga Shala and Makahiya Fitness Retreat & Gym are located nearby.
A nice breakfast upon your request can be provided.

Lovely place and very friendly host! I enjoyed the location in the jungle, near by Sri Yoga Shala and Makahiya Fitness. The terrace is also perfect for yoga. For food you must consider to go to town. It’s easy to organize a tuk tuk or you can also rent a scooter which is very useful.

Chira and Gaya were so friendly and helpful from the moment we met them. They helped with our luggage, served us beautiful breakfast and catered to whatever we needed, including help with getting tuk tuks, food delivered for lunch and massage treatments. If we are ever in Sri Lanka again, I would love to visit their lovely hotel again. Thank you for a wonderful experience x

Chira and Gaya are lovely hosts and take a lot of pride in the property and to make sure guests have a relaxing and enjoyable stay. Lovely room and pool set in peaceful surroundings. We will definately stay there again. Highly recommended

Very nice hosts. Available 24/7.clean room. Great view. The place in my opinion is overrated in the reviews. The rooms and the breakfast are quite expensive. Low value for money (even after a small discount on booking two rooms).

Green Hill Paradise Villa is a beautiful place to stay, in the middle of the Jungle. We saw monkeys, beautiful birds and a lot of other animals while Habicht breakfast. The rooms are very nice and clean. The breakfast is made with so much love. But the best about our stay here, was getting to know the hosts. These two are by far the nicest people we ever met. They are so friendly and helpful and do their work with so much love. Whoever comes to Unawatuna, has to come here!

Such wonderful hosts at Green Hill. The owners take such great care to ensure guests are happy, we really enjoyed meeting them. The property has been rented out long term previously to our stay so we were the first guests in a while, hence no other recent reviews. It was so peaceful and quiet, a short walk up the hill away from the main road, beaches of wajaya just 15 walk away, but tuk tuks are also very easy to get. We stayed here while visiting the wonderful Sri Yoga Shala and Makahiya fitness gym, both walkable from Green Hill.

This place Is amazing. The rooms, the Pool, the food, staff- Everything was so Nice I would recommend this place to anyone staying in unawatuna.

Lovely place and amazing ppl. Bed was so comfortable and the breakfast was fresh and so filling. Located a short walk from turtle beach and surf locations it was ideal for our needs.

An unforgettable experience made possible by Chira and Gaya at Greenhill Paradise. Monkeys in the trees, turtles in the sea nearby and the beauty of the forest all around. A very beautiful and lovely place. Er enjoyed every minute there. And the food ist incedible. A must try! Will defnitly go there again!

Green Hill Paradise was an amazing experience for us! Clean Huge Rooms with Fan, and AC, with all other amenities provided on request.
Laundry Service is a bit on the expensive side as they charge by piece, but I’d rather pay more than have my clothes ruined.
Tuk Tuk service at all hours to multiple places.
You also have 10 large water bottles for drinking.
An infinity swimming pool that is daily cleaned.
The staff was more than hospitable, kind, and attended our every need until we left, with smiles always on. Their kindness really filtered through.
From all 6 accommodations in Sri Lanka and different towns, the breakfast here was by far the best with no comparisons!

We had the best last couple of days of our trip at Green Hill Paradise - saw turtles, enjoyed the beach and the hosts (Gaya & Chira) helped us book a cooking class which we really wanted to do!

Fabulous breakfast, very generous! Room was spotless and the location was perfect. Super quiet but close to the beach, would definitely recommend.

Wonderful stay in this peaceful villa, Chira and Gaya were so accomodating, amazing breakfast, lovely pool, short walk to beach, perfect!

It's a little paradise. The view is so beautiful and relaxing, there are flowers everywhere and having breakfast looking at the jungle in the morning was amazing. The room was clean and comfortable, we also had a hammock on the balcony. The staff is super, they helped us organising our little trips in tuk-tuk and a driver for our last day to visit Galle and go to the airport. Breakfast was amazing, with fresh fruits, omelettes, toasts, pastries, so good!

I feel very conflicted writing this review right now. We stayed at the GHP for 4 nights and everything was truly great during our stay - the staff was friendly and helpful, breakfasts were tasty and the place itself clean and beautiful. About an hour after we had checked out we got a call from GHP and the caller said: "Hello, I'm calling from Green Hill Paradise. You have broken our bed and tried to fix with it tape. " I didn't understand what she was talking about since we had done no such thing. I guess some of the previous clients had done that and they noticed it just now. We don't also check below the bed just in case someone has broken it before our arrival when we check in at an accommodation. Getting accused of something like that out of the blue is very offensive and rude. I wish this had been handled completely differently. We did not break that bed.

Green Hill Paradise was an amazing snippet of luxury for our last couple of nights in Sri Lanka. Chira, his wife and Jayan were fantastic hosts - nothing was too much trouble. The villa was beautifully clean, the breakfast was incredible. I would highly recommend to stay here and we hope to be back in the future.
