Guruge villa

Very clean and cozy place. Ur like livin in the jungle, although it is very close to the beach and city centre. The owner and his wife are very friendly and helpful

Fantastic place of tranquility and rest. Without noise and you can enjoy nature just 5 minutes walk from the center, bus and train station and the beach.

The best place in Hikkaduwa. Guruge and his wife are very friendly and help you everytime. In the morning you got a free tea and free banana. I was 100+ locations, but he is the friendly person with a big heart. Every day he cleans the house and the garden. I have never the feeling to be home, but I had it in his villa. You have to go here! Have a good life and enjoy the place

I just spent a quiet and lovely week at Guruge Villa. The owner was so kind, generous and helpful. He suggested a lot of different activities, and even took me to a special Buddhist ceremony at his friends' home. I really appreciated being able to share the kitchen. All in all, it's great value for money.

Amazing place a 5 min walk from the train station and beach. Clean rooms, clean beds, and a lovely shower. But the main star of this place is the host.

Guruge is genuine, friendly, kind, and generous. He’s one of the, if not the nicest hosts I have ever met.

Provided lots of information on Hikkaduwa, where to eat, even offered to bring me around town on his bike and to drop me off at the train station when I left.

He upgraded me to a better room because it was low season and even gave me breakfast for free. He’s retired from the navy and now runs his hostel full time.

If you’re in Hikkaduwa, you definitely have to book here! I will definitely be back: D

The place is very nice and clean close to the beach and markets. The host is so friendly and welcoming. He even cook us food, gave us free rides. Its very rare to find a place like this and a host like Guruge.

This is the best place to stay. The host is really friendly and gave me also always free rides to the town. The villa and garden are stunning. The kitchen is well equipped and clean. My room was perfect.:) Price is also really good! Thank you.

Really nice place in a big, quiet garden, with a very polite owner who is very friendly and always happy to help you with your issues. He knows all the places in the little town and can hook you up with all sorts of activitys.

Now Im traveling Hikkaduwa this is first time traveling Sri Lanka.
I tried to looking forward to hostel here Luckily I met good hostel. Host is very nice and gentle and Place is so nice it`s like peaceful forest but very close to ocean (about 5~10min by walking)

If you want to enjoy Hikkaduwa peacefully at nice place I sincerely recommend this place. Thank you Sir. Guruge

Close to Train Station, Bus Stand and Ocean

Amazing location! Very close to nature and close to the city aswell. The host is super kind and will show you all the local places. I also got some fruits from the garden, overall very good experience:)
