Heritance Ahungalla

This hotel is very nice, with the Indian Ocean right in front of the swimming pool. The hotel meals are also very good. The service staff are also very enthusiastic.

The hotel meets all the criteria you would expect, everyone was very friendly and helpful. The best time is from November. We couldn't swim in the sea. Otherwise everything is great.

April 2021- Wir sind schon wieder hier!
2021 ist aufgrund von corona ein spezielles Jahr. Wir waren im Februar 2021 im heritance und über Ostern im April noch mal.
Hier passt eben einfach alles. Besonders hervorzuheben ist der ausgezeichnete Service im Restaurantbereich bzw. Barbereich.
Im Restaurantbereich ist besonders Duminda zu danken. Duminda arbeitet mit Leib und Seele. Er sieht seine Arbeit als Berufung an. Seine herzliche Art erzeugt bei den Gästen erlebte Wertschätzung. Duminda reagiert z. B.sofort bei Essnsunverträglichkeiten bei den Gästen, fühlt sich persönlich verantwortlich. IHN im heritance erleben zu dürfen ist schon einzigartig. Dumindas gelebte Serviceleidenschaft kommt von Herzen und ist nicht verbunden mit Trinkgeld. DANKE. See you soon. Stay safe. God bless you!

Super Hotel. Sehr freundliches Personal. Gepflegte Zimmer. Essen Super. Trotz Corona Einschränkungen war es ein toller Urlaub. Direkt am Strand, Pools alles super. Organisierte Ausflüge sind möglich gewesen. Wir kommen definitiv wieder.

It was delightful to experience true Srilankan hospitality at Heritance Ahungalla during my recent stay. From the list of hotels to quarantine, having been here 14 years ago, the only place I wanted to stay was Heritance Ahungalla.
From Sunethra who is at reservations who was my first point of contact to all reception staff and very attentive Tony, Duminda, Nipun, Panditha, Jacob and all restaurant staff to Nilanga and Tharaka of room services to ever so cheerful security guards to the observant lifeguards and the animators and the extremely neat and tidy housekeeping team – especially Namal and all other random staff I bump in to, THANK YOU, for making my 14 days quarantining a breeze.
I didn’t feel that I was quarantining, as each and everyone of you lived up to the promise of, “weaving a little magic into my holiday while honouring the promise of the finest in hospitality and exceptional service”. The beautiful cultural shows, buffet dinners at the beach, DJ nights to soothing Sinhala songs were so enjoyable. You all are true ambassadors of Srilankan hospitality.
For all of you, it could be another day at work, but your positive attitude to work and the willingness to always make your guests happy meant so much to me for over the last 2 weeks.
I’m looking forward to visiting the hotel again when it is opened up for local guests. Wishing the team all the absolute best and continue weaving your magic!

The best place we could think for our „quarantine“ after arriving from Germany. Yummy food, quiet environment, great WIFI (we need to work remotely so the last two were important). The staff is extremely friendly and accommodating. There are activities like beach volleyball, aquafit, croquet, tennis, badminton, table tennis and darts so you will definitely be occupied. There is a private beach too that is accessible while being in the tourist bubble. All in all highly recommend staying in this hotel with it’s authentic Sri Lankan architecture

For those who believe the sea is medicine.this is one of the best places to weekend getaways. Also one of the main places of tourist attractions with great amenities. There are so many activities inside the place such as Badminton, Tennis, Billiards and so many games. There is a particular place to amuse kids and also nights are entertained by traditional dancing. Food is pretty well with a great customer service thus, time spent there was quite amazing!

There was an issue with our room when we first arrived, but the staff acting so fast on it and gave us another room that was super spacious and comfortable and we were more than happy with it.
The entire staff was super helpful and everyone was doing his job perfectly. The service was also great and the there was a great variety of food and drinks.

Heritance Ahungalle, designed by renowned architect, Geoffrey Bawa, is one of our favourite hotels in Down South. We really really love this hotel for it's friendly and peaceful environment. This was our 2nd stay here.

There are two large swimming pools but both were closed when we were there in January due to the pandemic situation.

The staff was extremely courteous and attentive. Very impressed by the service. Food was excellent.

We can't wait to come back.
