Hikka Tranz by Cinnamon

We were welcomed to the restaurant by S. Roshan he was very kind and helped us to find the best dish they have. It was a mix of the best fish (I leave a picture below) and it was amazing. Everyone was very friendly and welcoming, we will definitely come back very soon!

My parents and I were in the mood for a seafood dinner. Not having found anything inspiring in Galle, we drove all the way to Hikkaduwa to Crab Shack as this little gem of a place kept popping up on our online searches with positive reviews.

We were not disappointed from the moment we stepped in. The staff were incredible in promptly arranging us a table overlooking the view of the crashing waves of the ocean. The ambiance of this place is truly stunning! Certainly Instagram worthy. Not to mention, the incredible dishes that are served. What made this experience most memorable is the beautiful waitress Yashoda with her breathtaking smile and her warm hospitality from the moment we sat down to the time we got up to leave after our meal. People like Yashoda and restaurants like Crab Shack is why Sri Lanka is known for its hospitality and unforgettable cuisines.

Highly recommend Crab Shak. Must visit if you're ever in Hikkaduwa.

We stayed at Hikka Tranz for 2 nights it was a memorable stay for us, Restaurant Staff, Service were excellent and memorable, pool bar has variety of mocktails and snacks. Thank you Virajitha and staff.

Honestly one of the best trips I’ve been on in regards to hotel services. The rooms were really nice and spacious and were really accommodating. On arrival, the staff gave us complimentary drinks and helped us organise our trip of 11 families. We needed an extra mattress and they were really quick to get it to us. My sister needed a plaster at one point and the staff at reception were quick to help and offer any support.

The facilities are impeccable, with a really nice swimming pool and quick access to the beach. Watching the sunset from the pool into the Indian Ocean is something I will never forget. The volley ball pitch was in use and also space for us to have family games. We had a ton of fun and made everlasting memories there.

The buffet was amazing, and the staff went above and beyond to make our experience unforgettable. Shout out to Sampath, Thimasha, Sivmika, Chamithra, Renuka at the front of house (who was super warm and lovely to talk to) and especially Yokithan who was a new trainee who was really lovely and all of them made our experience at the buffet enjoyable. Always filling our waters and taking our plates when needed and helping us with anything we wanted. The view from where we were eating the buffet was also incredible where we could see the entire sea and pool.

Overall an incredible and enjoyable experience that I won’t forget and the staff and the facilities were a big reason for us to be able to have the best time. I definitely would want to go again on my next trip to Sri Lanka.

After a trip in Srilanka we were here for four day’s the people were very friendly the food was very good en the rooms were clean and everyday Denish surprises is with animals on pur bed What hé made off the towels

We had a wonderful stay here. While the hotel is a bit older, the rooms were exceptionally clean and well-maintained. The sea view from our room was stunning, and the beach itself was incredibly picturesque. We were treated to a breathtaking sunset. The buffet meals during our stay were a delightful experience, offering a wide variety of delicious foods. We noticed more tourists than locals, but this didn't affect the outstanding hospitality of the staff. Highly recommended! "

It was a great experience we had at hikka tranz. The staff was very kind and helpful. Specially Mr H K Sanjeewa and Mr Avishka was full filling us at the dining buffet.

I think this review is long overdue, but better late than never. The first time we stayed at Hikka Tranz was when it was a Covid Intermediate Centre back in 2021. Our stay was almost a month, as my mom was in the HDU for 21 days straight. The rooms were well made, bathrooms spotless. We didn’t have any direct interaction with the staff, apart from the phone calls I had with them. What was most memorable for me during that stay was, they tried really hard to keep up with my requests for different types of food for my mom (oats at 11am, soups in the evening, sandwiches at night, fruits cut into very small pieces, brown bread instead of white bread, to keep my food in the kitchen until I went back up to the room…and the list goes on). I believe that part of the reason my mom got well was the food they sent us. The chef took it into his hands to make the same food in many different ways, so that my mom wouldn’t get bored eating the same food. So it’s not an understatement to say that Hikka Tranz holds a special place in my heart. After that we’ve been there for two New Year’s Eve Buffets (both had fantastic food and superb service from the staff, and some even remembered us, and asked about how my mom was doing) and recently we went there for another weekend buffet to celebrate one of our special days. We were welcomed by warm smiles, same hospitality and the same graciousness. Hats off to Hikka Tranz staff for treating the guests so good, that we continue to think of the next time we will go there.

I stayed at Hikka Tranz for 12 days and it was excellent.
Very clean and comfortable rooms.the hotel staff, housekeeping were very friendly and helpful. And the food was delicious all thanks to the chef and the food and beverage team.

I really like cinnamon hotels personally. They really keep the standards so well. I went to hikka tranz with my friends for a weekend getaway. We stayed there on FB basis and had a nice sea view from the rooms. Buffets were also great, specially sunday breakfast buffet. They have access to the beach and can get the  feeding experience to sea turtles. Really enjoyed our weekend there.

I went for day outing package wich is cost 3500 including pool, lunch buffet and evening tea.the staff apart from the front desk are very friendly and the buffet has a good choice and good quality fair

Turtles - they have a batch of four or five that will come to the shore and take seaweed out of your hand with the aid of a local guy on the beach who pronounces his name "WaHunter" photo below.
Tip- make this guy with long hair your friend, for a hundred rupees he will bend over backwards for you if he thinks you appreciate his work with the turtles

Best place I have visited. Specially You can try fresh sea food recipes. For seafood lovers this is the ome of best place. You can try othe r recipes too. Great hotel. You can visit Madolduwa, Corel grdens and so many places. And you can pla billiod too. Beach side star rated hotel.

The food here was so good and tasty. The service offered to me was exceptional and I had the best time during my holiday. The rooms were very clean and cozy and all our requests were made sure that it was taken care of. Thank you to all at HIKKA TRANZ will for sure come back.

Visited Sri Lanka for a vacation. Hikka Tranz was one of the hotels i stayed in and i really enjoyed my stay here. Standout was food it was Amazing.

Location is pretty good and they followed strict but perfect health guidelines under this corona pandemic period to ensure safety of the participants. Food is not much tasty for me but it's kinda normal. Enough parking space available.

Known as well reputed hotel chain.but service is just the money basis. Nothing responsible on words at all, of them and cancel booking at the last moment. Its Frustrating and highly warn for plan weddings there.

If it is mandatory to go with advance payment for reservation you should mention it at the first place. We contacted twice via mobile and asked whether the reservation is there for us or not.even at the day we were coming to pay you said yes it is there.but after few hours said not. It was frustrating right.if you said it at the first place and had the word that would be the way.
