Hot Sunset food cafe

Perfect place for a home cooked lunch, their rice and curry was super fresh and tasty and much more reasonably priced than any of the restaurants on the beach. We got the veggie version and it came with fried eggplant, green bean curry, daal, papadam, and even a fresh salad.
The family who runs it is also very friendly, overall great experience.

Almost on the road and therefore a little noisy, but the breakfast was very tasty and cheap, and the service was unobtrusive

The best restaurant in Hikkaduwa, the best rotis and of many types. The lovely family will make you feel at home. They even make it for you to take home. The egg and tomato roti 250 rupees and the chicken roti our favorite 450 rupees. We will be back for sure

Best rice and curry I've had my whole holiday in Sri Lanka! Came here for dinner and came back for lunch the next day for a different set of freshly made curries. Lovely hosts and delicious, authentic food - they can even adapt the spice levels to suit! It's very easy to walk past but it's definitely worth stopping.
