Il Gelato

Yummy yummy deliciousness. Had a salted caramel chocolate ice cream and loved it. Even the plain vanilla was very milky. If you are a slow eater I recommend you get served in a cup cause they serve huge scoops. Loved the experience.

Clean, small place well maintained. There are few flavors to choose from, and they were very tasty. However, I felt like it was a touch overpriced.

Nice place. But not many tastes the had when I’ve been there. I liked passion fruit and Belgium chocolate a lot!

Ice-cream is okay but nothing special. 2€ for a scoop is really overpriced for what you get.

Stopped by for an iced latte to cool down from the oppressive heat. Ice cold delicious coffee at an okay price for Galle. Excellent and friendly service.

Gelato ice cream is alway good. Place is cosy and clean. Lots of flavors of ice cream to select from. Staff is friendly and easygoing. They have AC inside, good when you’re after a walk in the sun. You can have a coffee and a smoke in outside tables.

Place is okay. Bit expensive conpared to other ice cream shops. (This is may be because of the location).

Really nice place with nice ice creams to see but I do not like their taste. It's a little hard for me, definitely not my taste. But dark chocolate is really good. A little expensive. Somehow a new experience!

The ice cream was good but not amazing. Can't keep up with Italian ice cream. They definitely lack in variety of flavors. They were missing all time classics like pistachio or stracciatella. The price is unreasonably high.

They overcharged me. It’s a habbit in Sri Lanka. 1300rupees for 2 scoops of not that good ice cream is a ripoff. The cone was also very old and shattering. Try another ice cream parlour.

Best place in Galle for gelato - quality stuff. Now I know why the locals queue up at this place

The price per one flavour is 300 lk, there are a couple of non-diary options, so it'll fit people who don't eat animal milk based products. We've tasted 4 flavours and all of them were absolutely nice, so this one is my recommendation.

Nice and cozy gelato place in Galle fort. Delicious range of ice creams and other related items of high quality and standards available here with a generous portion served. Service is good. Very welcoming staff.
But some items are clearly overpriced.

Fantastic Ice cream. A bit on the pricy side though. The location is is quaint and has a great ambience to it.

Super delicious icecream. There are inside tables and cold aircon which you don’t find often in Galle. All flavours we tried were amazing (coconut, mint chip, dark chocolate, and puffi). However, serving sizes were pretty small for the price (450lkr per cone). Also, two of the 4 tables plus a long bench were covered with stock and paperwork belonging to the store and managers, which doesn’t make customers feel that welcome.

Best ever real almond taste ice cream had on ma life time. The menu include non dairy options also. Specialy Passion Fruit Ice Cream. Friendly staff not have to ask for next visit, coz the ice cream taste magnetise me for another visit asap. Interior decoration also with eye catching colours and the photographs and the design of furniture ask for stay here more and more time. Check the menu and get best suited Ice Cream, you may fall with love every day with that place.
