Janus Paradise Rest

My favourite hotel stay by far. I came back 3 times having travelled seeing Sri Lanka. The owners became like friends and as did the staff. So caring and attentive. Nothing was any trouble, accommodation, food and service excellent. I can't wait to visit Janu's Paradise Rest next year

A nice and cosy hotel with nice and helpful staff. Bed not the best we've had but clean. The lokation is perfect with the best restaurant on the long beach. Pool was nice and clean.

I stayed here for 2 days and and that was my best experience in srilanka. The host Mr Jaanu is very kind and caring. He made sure all our needs are met. I met with an accident and injured my toe. Mr jaanu provided us with medication. The food here is exceptionally good. If you are around, I would recommend you to stay here and experience the hospitality

Very nicely located hotel by the sea with a nice beach bar, friendly service and tasty food. This is a great place to chat and relax with international guests. Can only be recommended

A charming small-scale hotel, boasting a breakfast restaurant right on the beach, provided us a delightful stay! Upon our arrival, we were greeted with delicious fruit juices – a surprise treat that continued to be served at each breakfast. The morning meals were an absolute delight, generous in portions and filled with quality bread, eggs, and even a special dish prepared for our children who didn't care for eggs. Our daughter found joy in playing with the friendly dogs on the premises, and the pool added to our enjoyment, although it lacked shade during the day.

I had a disappointing experience at Janus even though enjoying our meal the owner's behavior towards us was unacceptable. We were abruptly told to leave the restaurant we were just enjoying our own when the owner shouted at his staff to close the restaurant already the restaurant was closed since we asked the staffs to clean the premises and we voluntarily asked them to closed since we were just enjoying near the beach but the owner all of sudden came made a discriminatory comments, stating that locals were not welcome, which was hurtful and disrespectful. As paying customers, we expected to be treated with hospitality and respect, regardless of our local status. Unfortunately, due to this unpleasant experience, I cannot recommend this place to others. It's important for businesses to value and respect all customers, and such discriminatory behavior should not be tolerated.

Very good place to stay. Staff is friendly, the food was delicious. Nice and clean rooms and pool. Five stars for everything.

Really nice staff and owner. They make you feel like home. If you are in Induruwa you should go there to eat (the food is fabulous) and to stay a few nights. They have an amazing pool.

Average level hotel. Not very spacious. Rooms are okey. Parking available only for 2 cars. Has AC and hot water. Not beach view from rooms. We went on a rainy day. Restaurant was not adequately covered from rain. Felt very uncomfortable due to that. Staff is very friendly and service is superb. Food also very delicious but bit pricy.

A good place to stay on the beach side. Friendly staff and tasty foods. Call the owner for a good price.
Breakfast is good but the restaurant menu items are bit pricey and small portions specially side dishes are not worth it.

Beautiful place to eat, we got an table on front of the beach, atmosphere was fabulous.
All the service guys where so gentle and obliging.
The dinner meals are so delicious, we got perfect on fleek tuna steak and pig filet.

We could write a book about this place.it would be a book about love and friendship and about one person who makes this place so special. Come and see everything for yourself. Happiness is real only when it is shared and Janu shares it with you. We not only stayed at this place for 23 nights, but lived 23 happy days. Thank you our friend.

So there is first impression and then there is experience.
I say when I first reached Janu's place, I wasn't impressed. I meant the place is in middle of nowhere, there's wifi working only in reception area, room is probably smaller than I expected and maybe the view from room is kinda blocked by the trees.
But as you spend a few hours, you get to mingle with Janu and his staffs and get down to his restaurant and then get back to the bed at night.you get the vibe.
Room s small but has very comfortable bed with clean lenin, bathroom s clean with running hot water. There's a balcony you can put you wet cloth in sun. Restaurant has probably one of the best vibe I ever had.they would make bonfire at night. If you lucky you can see local fishermen catching fish in the morning, buy some and request chef to cook you something fancy. Chef ll keep surprising you. Janu would get you a scooter on rent which is a must if you want to explore. Also since a Covid negative report is must to fly in the new normal, you better take the scooter and go to the near town - Beruwala.
Overall I would rate Janu's rest a five star experience. It might not be as fancy as we would have liked but it gave me experience probably better than those fancy ones. Janu himself is a gem of a person. He also arranged a cake in the last moment for my wife's birthday and didn't accept money for that.

We were happy to find this place! The rooms are nice and clean. We stayed in a room with a balcony and then in a more spacious room with own patio - both were comfortable and cozy. The hotel has a restaurant right on the beach, the food and atmosphere is great! The beach itself is empty and beautiful. We traveled in November, so the weather was not the best for swimming and still we enjoyed every minute of our stay! The management of the hotel try their best to make the guests feel great! They helped us arrange transfers and cool boat trip (crocodiles, monkeys, etc.) and overall created a friendly and relaxed atmoshere Many hotels are still closed after lockdowns, even though they appear on booking.com, so choose carefully and look for recent reviews. And if you're going to Bentota/Induruwa Janus Paradise is a perfect choice! Stongly recommend!

Klasses Homestay Unterkunft mit freundlichen und zuvorkommenden Gastgebern. Tolle Lage direkt am Strand, wenn auch etwas ruhiger. Saubere Zimmer und eine gute Ausstattung. Hier kann man problemlos ein paar Tage chillen und relaxen.

Beautiful location in the beach. Reasonable prices. Previously the place wasn't open for locals but now they are. Worth checking it out. Food is average.
