Koggala Beach Hotel

The experience is completely unsatisfied. The checkout was to be at 2pm and they requested to clear the rooms at 12pm and Share with someone. Hilarious. The customer service is disgusting as they use to ignore the people and they don’t have their manners. The customer service is disrespectful to the max as they blame their customers with their staff. Bathrooms are not properly arranged. In case if you have any idea to visit this dumb place please bring all the needs including toothpaste as we have to beg for one. Free ants will be added for food. Food is not delicious as well.

Very poor customer service and room service and also hotel staff doesn’t care about customers and their requirements.

Great sea view from the room. Breakfast had fewer options but overall reasonable for the price.
Travelling was expensive within the area as the Tuk drivers does not use meters or Uber/PickMe and charge higher.

There is a clear difference in the way the staff treats the locals vs the foreign guests! Local guests are ignored even during the buffet queue and foreign guests are served before any of the locals and that is such a disgrace for a star class hotel! The rooms, especially the washrooms are poorly maintained and more than a forty minute delay during check-in ruins the mood before the guest actually steps in to the room. Buffet spread perhaps was the only highlight of an otherwise disappointing experience. Remember that we supported you guys when there were no foreigners.

Great rooms that give you a lovely balcony view of the beach right in front. Overall comfortable stay and relaxing sound of waves, however a minor problem I had was that the light from the AC was too bright to sleep.

Staff were very helpful and accommodating to requests (we had a late check-in past kitchen closing time but they arranged food for us).

Though not a fault of the hotel, one thing to look out for is that transport is difficult in this area as three-wheelers try to charge you ridiculous prices and they neither use meters nor Uber/PickMe app. Three-wheeler drivers wait outside and "don't allow" vehicles booked via apps to come in the vicinity. However would like to point out that the hotel staff helped us when we faced this problem after checking out.

I recommend this hotel, It has a nice sea view though sea is not recommended for swimming
however the place is good, buffet was also good, There were different varieties, The staff was friendly and overall this is a best hotel in galle

Nice location to stay with 3 star facilities. Highly recommended hotel in down south SriLanka. Friendly staff, reasonable price with good food, and swimming pool with a wonderful beach view.

The hotel was really good. In spite of the low guests, the staff was extra attentive to us. The food was amazing! They catered to all our tastes, even the one child and two 1+ babies. I hope many more guests will come to this beautiful beach hotel, with such a wonderful beach.

I was stayed one night there. Room was comfortable and facyto nice sea view Food was avarage level Restaurant is not much cleaner.and poor maintaining.guess it’s because of current situation in srilanka. Overall it’s worth for the price i paid.

This place is good for the discounted price (Rs 23,000). We booked triple room with full board and we had 4 members, for additional one they charged Rs 4,000. Rooms are clean and good. All the facilities were there, but most of the items looks old. Although i cannot give best score for the quality of the room, the environment and the service is really good.
Has a good swimming pool, table tennis and carrom play area (had not maintain well).
And most importantly the food was delicious. And for the 3 cources meal, they offer so much of foods, even a super greedy person totally satisfy. Buffet also very good with wide variety of foods.

We have stayed here for 12 days. The rooms were ok not much pressure in shower and power kept turning on and off. Also lots of things were breaking down - staff were nice and quick to fix everything when we asked. Food was very average anyhow good option of local food as well as some international food every time again. 5 stars to all the staff as they were really happy to meet our needs and made enjoyable stay. Thank you to all the staff.

Lovely hotel on a fantastic beach, food was not good, very few guests (12) probably accounted for the food, staff fantastic, had some strange habits in the bar, when asking for a beer they served from open bottles in the fridge, saw managment and that was soon sorted, there are 4 hotels all ajoined but only Koggla beach had guests, small resturants up and down the road, great place for seeing southern Sri Lanka.

Highly recommended hotel in down south srilanka. Cost friendly and nice rooms with all facilities. Food is fine. Nice location in beach front.

Friendly Staff. Reasonable price. Calm place to have a stay. Nice beach and beachside view rooms have a wonderful view. I still think you should visit at least once.
4 Stars because,
Wifi did not work. (they gave the pass work but no signal to the rooms)
Call the receptionist, but no one answered.

Good hotel on the ocean beach. 10 min left is a lagoon available in any weather conditions. Friendly staff. Perfect restaurant (HB strongly recommended, all inn up2U).

We really enjoyed everything. Only issue there were lots of mosquitos in our room. We did not have a good night sleep.

Waiting for over 2 hrs at lobby for room arrangement and no any refreshments. No any arrangements for luggages. Very disappointed. Very poor service.

Very Poor service, it took more than three hours to fix safety locker, even after informing more than five times. Response was very poor.
