Very danger in front of Temple main road because street gutters are damage. Very unsafe junction. Be careful always

A buddhist temple that we saw on our way to Galle and stopped by in the evening on our way back, Sri Lanka hosts a lot of culture and religion, it has a very cosmopolitan structure, a Buddhist temple, it is possible to see a Catholic church just next to the mosque, a little different from the outside. It looks like buddhist clergy in orange clothes on the way, a nun woman on the other hand, a bearded mosque teacher with a skullcap on her head, this is like the brotherhood of religions, it has a different atmosphere as if their paths crossed here and they live together here. There are attractive painting works, it has an imposing atmosphere that fascinates you from the outside, it is worth seeing, you try to understand the human life, the world, the animals you have never seen here, and the nature as if presenting all its blessings to you.

Small town and small super market around and historical temple available dodanduwa fishing harbour is 1km away

Junction where you can find small scale grocery shops,

cloth shop, salons, communications to help your day to day life. Moreover it has a bus stop and railway station as well.

Kumarakanda is having a wonderful vast spread beautiful beach area, Buddhist temple which you must visit also on other side you can find a beautiful river.

I can recomend this area for your vacation.

You can take nice photos but the place itself is kind of over rated
This place needs maximum 10 minutes to cover it all

Too many rowdy people are hanging arround and it will never develop as a tourist area city

It's the very best rural market place next to Hikkaduwa. Nice bech, historical Buddhist temples and wonderful people are there.
And best accommodation point to all type travelers.

Great bakery and fruit and vegetable shops inside the mall. Will visit again. Overlooked by a lovely temple.
