Land's End Villa

A very unpleasant manager who always tries to deceive you, an unprofessional person who is doing the wrong thing, which is a shame. They cheated me on the price for the room, he says that you can’t bring anything to the hotel, you can only buy from him. We advised our friends to check into this hotel, but then they regretted it. If the owner reads the reviews, think about another manager, he doesn't know how to work. I wanted to return in another month, but certainly not to this hotel.

As the name suggests, the location of this hotel is at the very edge of the steep rocky beach. With quite expensive prices per room per night, the facilities obtained are not as expected, for example, many lights in the room don't turn on, doors can't be locked or wifi isn't available.
The villa yard is also poorly maintained and lacks lighting at night.

Good day to all! I was lucky enough to have a wonderful vacation in this villa!
I liked the villa immediately upon arrival from the airport. When you arrive after a long flight and are greeted by a wonderful, green garden, it’s simply unreal! But the most important impression was yet to come! Climbing the steps to the main building, like an ancient castle overgrown with greenery, you enter a huge foyer. And then the most GORGEOUS view of the ocean opens up in front of you! To say that we were amazed is an understatement! The views are simply beyond words! So we'll attach a photo. After reading a lot of reviews on Google, Booking, Yandex, I had some doubts. But after the first minutes everything was immediately forgotten! You just need to see it with your own eyes and be amazed! The staff is very friendly and responsive, they always meet halfway and try to make your stay as comfortable as possible.
Our room (No. 3) was on the 2nd floor of the villa, just above the lobby. The shared balcony, such as it is, is essentially your personal (it is shared, but only 2 rooms have access to it). The room is very spacious, the furniture matches the surroundings of the country. We compared the furniture to the cartoon "Tarzan", as if you were living in the jungle and surrounded by a wooden interior. The beds are large, comfortable, with mosquito nets. There is an air conditioner in the room, it works great, and it does not blow towards the bed, which is a plus. The bathroom is also in excellent condition. Throughout the 10 days of rest, there was hot water all the time. Which is a plus. And yes! The views from the balcony are simply gorgeous.
Let's go back to the first floor) In addition to the gorgeous view, you also have a large swimming pool! Swimming in it against the backdrop of the sunset is simply an unforgettable experience! And yes! Awesome photos that will make everyone jealous of you are PROVIDED!
Breakfast includes your choice of eggs, plus always fresh fruit and toast. A family of chipmunks (there are 3 of them) will always have breakfast with you on the stones on the cliff; from time to time, peacocks who live in the garden on the territory of the villa come. Wifi is available!
In general, we recommend it 100%!

A perfect Place to stay with wonderful and amazing Surroundings with Beach Front Infront of your Room balcony which Feels like you are living with Beach it self.
Wonderful tranquility with all the Facilities you need.
And fantastic Service from hotel staff.

Beautiful place for a retreat! Great views and it’s great to connect to the nature. Accessibility to the beach is also good and staff was more than helpful during our stay.

Bad educated people, misinformation about rooms and overall not a customer first approach.it’s Management by Command and not Management by delegation here.leads to: nobody knows anything. Even for simple questions, reception personal needs to call Manager who need 30 min to arrive, then manager need to call boss to ask.example: reception and manager not knows anything about my Booking because boss is doing it and people on hotel have no access to see data. Overall too high price (starting 60$, most rooms 90+$)

Tired furniture, monotonous breakfasts, helpful staff and the most important thing is merging with nature.

'AVOID AT ALL COSTS'

Rooms are pretty average, furniture is old, could clearly see the leather sofas havent been cleaned in ages.
Breakfast is average, nothing great eggs sausages and some poor quality bread, with fruits and juice (dont expect a cappuccino to be included).
They tend to lock you out of the main reception area at night after 10 pm, so you will only really have access to your room at this property - we were not even able to get drinking water at night (something youd expect any property to provide, staff suggested in the morning we should have walked to an outside shop and helped ourselves).
Hand soap had not been refilled in the bathrooms (who knows what else was overlooked in between guests) ; when asked for hand soap we were given a heavily diluted watery liquid soap.
Towels looks old and shabby - Spare hand towels are essentially tea towels.
If you're expecting a high level of service then dont - overall a really bad experience due to the tacky caretaking in the rooms and really horrible service.

Very very bad customer service. But room are comfortable, there was a good sea view. They don't know how to children

Worst place i ever visited. Owner was very rude to people, he dosen't have humansense.customer service very bad. There was a very small soap & used tissues. When we were sleeping, they switched off the A/C 3 times. Food is not good. They aren't clean pool everyday. There was a very good sea view. Owner dosen't know how to talk to customers.

Good location, not worth for 11500 Rp (BB). The service is very poor. Hot water mini refrigerator not working at all. No tea coffee sugar as complements even a bottle of water was not provided. Third class service Eg: Bed tea was given with single tea bag for two people.

Worst place I ever visited. They don’t switched on A/C till we asked. Refrigerator in the room is out of order. Poor hot water facility. At least they haven’t provided basic requirements.only a small soap bar and used tissue paper roll was there. There is a dangerous fence in the upstairs nearby balcony area. If you are tipsy you might fall to the sea. They provided one tea bag for both of us for bed tea.cheap food.not worth for the price. I can say the owner is very greedy. Utterly hopeless place except the view.

Awesome and a unique location in galle, this hotel is built on top of a Rock, can walk on the rocks in front of the hotel and can go till the ocean.

The Rooms were clean and the price was ok, Friendly staff, No much options for Breakfast, specially no Sri Lankan food because they don't have a proper kitchen.

The pool was great and the sea view from the pool was superb.

They have 12 Rooms some with sea view some without.this place is good for a family stay. The Unawatuna Bay is just 300m away from the hotel.

Unique experience of private and ocean view place with kind and friendly atmosphere run by extremely caring and professional care of Thilina and his team. We enjoyed it with our family very much and plan to come again for sure.

Good location, the road to the hotel is very congested as its one of most popular streets in galle. We were very comfortable. However continental breakfast was a bit sad and cheap. Pool needs cleaning

This is truly land's end - a beautiful property located in a secluded oceanfront plot. We enjoyed the endless crash of the waves from day to night. The upstairs room is spacious with an amazing ocean view that feels like the deck of a cruise ship. The pool was clean and refreshing and offered stunning views of the ocean.

The property was so nice, in fact, that I proposed to my now fiancé on the rocks at Land's End.

The breakfast was fresh, delicious, and generous. Fruits, homemade toast and jams, and eggs however you like them. Excellent staff who always welcomed us with smiles and made sure we had everything we needed. The manager was very friendly and speaks perfect English. He told us everything we wanted to know about Sri Lanka and took great care of us.

This place looks absolutely fabulous. But we had the same breakfast everyday. Food was over priced room never cleaned during our stay for 3 days and privacy is zero if you want to keep the curtains open so you could actually hv a sea view.the terrace you will see in the pics and balcony is shared.

This location is excellent. Has an amazing ciew and the pool is great. Food, room, and cleanliness were great. Chandimal (I believe) was excellent and very attentive and polite. Highly recommend this place.

This place felt like home! It surpassed our expectations by far.clean rooms, friendly staff and most of all an exceptional view of the ocean with a daily sunset show that we had never seen before. 5/5
