Nature Villa

(+) The accommodation is very centrally but quietly located in an alley near the busy tourist street.
(+) The furnishings of the bungalows are simple but sufficient.
(+) The bed was very comfortable and had a mosquito net.
(+) There was air conditioning, a ceiling fan and a mobile pedestal fan.

(-) Non-transparent pricing: an additional 21% fees and charges were levied on our assumed price according to Booking.de.
(-) This means that the price-performance ratio doesn't fit at all!
(-) shower water is rationed. Showers must be taken in quick succession or 30 minutes apart

Nevertheless, the owner was very nice and gave us a small farewell gift as an apology for the inconvenience. Due to the unsuitable price-performance ratio described, we would not book this accommodation again

Pros:
Very nice villa! Beautiful well-groomed area, small swimming pool. Each room has its own private terrace, closed from neighbors. The owner (European) and employees are very friendly and attentive. Breakfast for an additional fee is very tasty and large. The guest house is located centrally, a few steps from the tourist road, but at the same time in a dead end in a quiet place. The bed is large and comfortable. There are beach towels. For an additional fee, your clothes will be washed and ironed. Please note, there is no daily service like in a hotel. But they will do everything for you if you ask, they will change the towels, wash the floor in the room, give and change beach towels, etc. Don't be shy to ask. We really liked the guest house.
Minuses:
Take plenty of mosquito repellents, there are a lot of them here:)
The only negative for us was the air conditioning and lack of blankets. It was impossible to sleep with the air conditioning, since instead of a blanket there was only one thin sheet, and it was cold under it. And without air conditioning it was very stuffy and hot. A blanket or a blanket would have saved the situation, but we were told that there was nothing else except a sheet. Out of five different overnight stays in Sri Lanka, this was the first and only time this happened.

We enjoyed a fantastic two days at Nature’s Villa. If you sit quietly you will see the resident monitor lizard visit the garden. (see my video). We also saw numerous birds, peacocks, squirrels and even monkeys in the distance. It’s a real pity that the neighbours try and scare them off with very loud firecrackers - but we are just passing through. The rooms were great and we had a small kitchenette which was a bonus. Fantastic staff looked after us while the manager was on holiday. A short walk off the road ensures there is no road noise. We appreciated the care and effort that obviously goes into this property.pop into the Happy Banana for an excellent meal or grab a roti across the road for a lunch snack. Speak to management directly for off season rates.

I cannot tell you what an amazing find this hotel was.an oasis of calm in beautiful, cleverly designed gardens. All the staff are totally lovely - truly the heart of Sri Lankan hospitality. Kindness and genuine care really shone through in this small but huge value for money beach hotel.
Breakfast is choice of 5 yummy options - banana pancakes, eggs or Sri Lankan- were my fav's - fruit platter with all 5!
Amazing information pack brimming with suggestions on where to go for dinner, ideas for days out and lots more.
Rooms are generous size with super king beds and mozi nets too.
Pool is perfect size for this compact hotel. Four lounges to chill on and 2 x hammocks in gardens.
We loved our stay here and were made to feel vv comfortable and welcome. Felt like home. Thank you so much Nature Villa xxxx will recommend you to all.
