We took a two day excursion that covered many interesting places and attractions.
The excursion route included waterfalls, a 9-arch bridge, a train ride (personally, we didn’t get there due to force majeure - after rainfall the railway tracks were blocked with stones), a visit to tea plantations and a tea factory, Ella, Small Adam’s Peak, a tower, elephant farm, royal garden and much more. For all this we paid only $130 per person. Everything was included, including meals (breakfast/lunch/dinner and accommodation), other operators have a price tag for such an excursion from 140, and lunch is not included, so Ivan’s is very profitable.
In addition, as a bonus, we received an excursion to the Blue Lagoon.

The guide who accompanied us during the excursion was Russian-speaking. He told a lot of interesting things, and we received answers to all our questions. The organization of the entire trip was at a high level, and we really liked the company Ocean Asia Travels, a lot of pleasant impressions and beautiful photos.

Our excursion to the Blue Lagoon was also wonderful. Watching the sunrise on a lake with birds is something incredible! The mangroves were also very interesting, we saw a lot of animals, visited a Buddhist temple and fed bananas to chipmunks (we were warned to take bananas). The excursion was conducted by Ivan himself, who speaks excellent Russian, and also spoke about the tsunami and his memories of it.

We also took a safari from Ivan in Yalla National Park, from a hotel guide it cost 140 dollars, in Hikkaduwa it cost 65, and from Ivan it cost 60. The guide was Russian-speaking and answered all questions about the country, animals and the park. The driver of the jeep, by some miracle, looked out for animals and showed them to us.
Lunch was not included, but we were given over an hour for lunch in a nice cafe with large portions.
Also, we were lucky and saw a leopard having dinner).

For comparison, we took an excursion from a tour operator to Yalla National Park for $110. How many times have I promised not to do this, but again I end up with the same rake. Firstly, it’s 50 bucks more expensive than Ocean Asia Travels, it took more than an hour to gather people from their hotels, the guide didn’t care about anything, it was purely organization, I thought maybe lunch was included, but no matter what, we also had lunch at our own expense. The same jeeps, the same paths in the national park, the same animals. And then, after the excursion, the guide met everyone and insistently recommended paying a tip to the jeep driver. Of course, we paid, but I think for the money that we gave Anex for the excursion, they themselves should pay the drivers decently.
So feel free to take excursions from this company.

When we flew there, we planned to take a 2-day day from the hotel guide and also thought about riding along the coast on a motorbike.
Having arrived at the hotel (we lived in Hika Tranz), we went out into the street and were almost immediately met by Jivan (hereinafter Vanya). We were surprised by the level of the Russian language, he immediately put us at ease, offered the most favorable exchange rate for dollars, which we took advantage of and, looking ahead, before leaving the hotel, we exchanged the remaining rupees back into dollars!

For excursions:
We bought a 2-day excursion with an overnight stay at a hotel in the mountains. We visited Ravana Falls, Adam's Peak, a superb nine-arch bridge, took a train ride (but there were a lot of people), a tower, tea plantations and production, Nuwara Eliya, a beautiful botanical garden (I would say a park), swam with elephants. The bus is comfortable. The hotel for the night is good, the rooms have everything you need, dinner is buffet, breakfast is excellent, the views are beautiful. There was a lot of things: rich, bright, sometimes with humor, sometimes with a little sadness for the local people, interesting, very beautiful and colorful. The price included everything: meals for 2 days, all entrance tickets, hotel, etc.

A bonus for purchasing this tour for two was a free one-day excursion along the river by boat (bats, photo with a crocodile, a fish farm, a place where hundreds of herons spend the night) to an island with a temple and Buddhist monks, as well as the cutest big ones! Chipmunks, a turtle farm (I really liked it), a small arboretum with rare plants, a tsunami monument (with Vanya’s impressive story about this day, which he witnessed). In short, for a free and even paid one - very worthy!

The question is more about the organization. On the first day, we frantically examined the locations, managed to visit a waterfall, Little Adam's Peak, visited the nine-arch bridge and took a train ride, stopped at the local post office, a tea plantation and a tea factory. Everything was cool here, it was already close to sunset, we all thought that we would go to the hotel, but we were taken to the ambuluwava tower. The forecast is for rain, the sun will set soon, everyone has a question: why today if possible tomorrow morning? Okay, we arrived, they take us upstairs in tuk-tuks and it starts to rain. Naturally, no one got out of the tuk tuk, we just went back.
About the hotel. We arrived at the hotel where elephants come in the morning to bathe and drink water. It’s raining outside, the river is flowing wildly, naturally no elephants will come there, but they assure us otherwise.
In the evening after check-in there is no information about morning fees. We ourselves found out that there was an elephant nursery next to the hotel, no one even told us this) the guide, after asking, gathered us up and we went there. Afterwards we were disoriented about the collection time at the car, and we ended up standing for 40 minutes and waiting for something unknown. We left the next day at 11 am. And we only visited Sigiriya. They stretched it out for the whole day, although they could have gone to the tower in the morning.
I also want to make a special mention of the food. We were brought to expensive places, and not the most delicious ones. After Sigiriya, we arrived at a cafe, where we paid 7,000 rupees for two dishes and two drinks. The dinner at the hotel was delicious, drinks were not included and we didn’t know about that either)
In general, for us, people who are accustomed to deadlines and timing, everything took a very long time. Long stops, late departure on the second day. If you take the time to organize, everything will be great. But without it, a two-day excursion will turn out to be difficult and not so rosy.
