Oh Yes Beach Villa

The villa needs a lot of renovation, the ceilings are leaking, the pool is green most of the month. Get ready to live with the locals, who will walk around the villa and scream, starting at 7 am. Every time it is worth checking utility bills, there is a chance that you will be hung up with extra.
I"l recommend to look it in live before book, check utilities bills for been payed before rent

Not properly organised, booked the place and went no preparation to take the guests in. Thereore had to change the place after inspection. Totally not worth the price or not up to the standards.

Please be aware that this property is adjacent to a cemetery. Because this information is not shared with the guests. The pool faces the cemetery and the beach.

The staff is friendly and helpful. This is located in front of Vikasitha enterprises. The villa is full of antiques. The garden is well maintained. There is a friendly dog names Suri.

We had one bunk bed, a single bed and a queen sized bed in our room. There was a pantry in the room with a mini fridge. But the pantry was not in good condition. The bed spreads and the pillow covers were slightly dusty and had a lot of stains on them. So would recommend you to carry your own bed/pillow covers. The bathroom was clean and spacious. But the bath tub was dirty and stained. Some of the wooden planks from the ceiling was missing and some had loose nails. I was paranoid the entire time I was inside the room thinking that a plank of wood might just fall on me

The living room at the villa again had old furniture. The cushion covers were dusty and stained. The cutlery and plates which was served for us weren't clean either.

The swimming pool is built of cement without any tiles, so at a glance the water would look murky but it is because of the color of the cemented walls. In between the pool and the beach is the cemetery covered in grass and shrubs. The water was clean and there weren't any dirt in the pool.

We paid for a BBQ dinner and I have to say the food which was served wasn't prepared bbq style. Also the produce wasn't fresh. The sausages were sliced and just tossed in a pan. It was too raw to eat. The fish was just fried in a pan and some sauce was just poured over it. It was smelly and tasted old. The devilled pork was again rubbery and old. We left out the fish and pork dishes because they weren't edible at all and honestly were afraid of getting food poisoning.
The chicken was the same. It was frozen old chicken burnt over a pan. It tasted bland. We were served with a garlic bread which was tasty but the bread was too dry. The noodles had a little too much of chicken cubes. The potato curry was watery and was made using flour instead of coconut milk. Wouldn't recommend you to have food at the villa.

There's space to park 3 cars.

I cannot say anymore then the FIVE stars I have given this accommodation.but I will!


A lovely, tranquil outdoor pool with a garden to relax in, with beach/sea views and 5 spacious rooms for many guests (if required), with a large living room and huge dining area.

The house manager, Gamini, is a lovely, lovely man. He and his staff are on hand when needed and the food is incredible; no matter what your pallette is.

If you're coming to Talpe or Galle; make this your stop as it is cheaper than surrounding accommodations.

+The in-house chef, prepares good food based on your needs

-The caretaker/manager person is kind of nosy and can get into your conversations and hangouts uninvited

Simply awesome place. Feel like staying in home. Nice pool and rooms more importantly the staff. The Cheff Gamini is one of a kind. We love this place
