Palm Beach Inn & Sea Shells Cabanas

Very homely feeling,

Room were good
Staff was supportive
Rates were reasonable

Expensive room Rs6000 without breakfast, but there is nice privat beach, tidy and good smell room, but the hot water not work and the tall young guy infront is so helpful.

The 3 stars exclusively go to the staff at this accommodation - they are extremely courteous, helpful and friendly!

This would have earned 0 stars.
Their cabanas for rent for an incredible €37 are a disgrace - life-threatening and a pure rip-off.
The cabanas that stand on stilts are absolutely dilapidated.
I am aware that different standards apply in Sri Lanka than in the EU (we travel a lot) - but, again, at €37 per night, renting out such a filthy, rickety, dirty and dilapidated hut is a joke.
Please don't let anyone live here anymore!

The room we moved into after the horror night (deluxe room) was clean, tidy and according to the advertisement.

Breakfast is OK. The access to the sea is also beautiful and offers a private beach.

This place is awful, super dirty (pillow, sheets, building) and old.
Also they are not flexiable to any kind of cancellation or change.
Do not come or book here.

Worst Experience. Very poor & bad service. Room is OK. Bathrooms are not well maintained. Hot water is not working. No breakfast menu. Only served rotten breads, butter, jam and 2 sausages. Not worth for money at all. Would not be recommended any one to stay here. Strongly recommend to consider other options close to this property. Gave only one star is it's to the beautiful beach.

Stayed in the Deluxe room. Rooms are big and spacious. Lunch was delicious. Staff was accommodating and friendly. Good place to stay with family. The only downsides were - no toiletries in the bathroom and AC was not functioning very well.

Fabulous Place to visit, Nice and calm environment with beautiful private beach. Friendly staff and hospitality. Prices are very reasonable. Highly recommended.

Average place in terms of service and comfortness, they dont serve food these days, thats one of the major drawbacks you experience here. They dont even arrange meals for you from outside, so definitely you have to find it in your own.freedom and easy access to beach which is great. Dont stay here if you are not going to spent your time in beach.

We booked a standard room with breakfast.and once we checked in we were quite unhappy, Since we felt the price is not worth for the money we pay for the room, wich is with very less space and without any view.however with the help of the staff we were able to upgrade our room to a deluxe room with a nice garden view. The room was very spacious and clean having a very large bathroom.

We had the dinner form the hotel and the food is really delicious.

Staff is really friendly though they need some training for guest handling.

The hotel is closing the main gates after 10.00 pm wich is really frustrating and which needs to be addressed.

They had two cabana cottages seems to be with very less space. So the deluxe room is a ideal choice if you're planning for a reservation.

Nice location. The room I stayed was not as what expected especially the toilet which was old and not so clean. The bed was fine.

They have private beach too, but they didn't have umbrella and towel for us which was disappointed, so we went to other hotels nearby instead to do sunbathing.

We stayed here 3 days and we enjoyed our staying. Staff is very friendly and helpful. We has issues with transfer (Uber) I think hotel owner or manager helped us. They give you beach towel, there is a man who lookafter beach and area. Hadi at reception area is very helpful. We ate in the hotel all breakfast and also 2 evening meals. Food was amazing. Beach is so lovely. Thank you very much for all.

Go for the deluxe rooms, not for cabanas! This hotel have a lower rating in booking.com just because of their tidy cabanas. But the deluxe rooms are spacious and have a nice garden view. Rooms are very clean and the staffs are friendly. Food is delicious, specially their seafood dishes. So always recommend to book deluxe rooms, not the tidy old cabanas.
About the beach; they close the gates by 10.00 pm everyday ‍️. But until that you can have an access to almost private clean beach.

I organized a surprise birthday for my boyfriend and they were very much accommodating and helpful. Allowed my friends to come early to and decorate the room and was very helpful in doing the needful to make sure he was truly surprised. They allowed the additional guests to be on the premises without charges considering it’s a special occasion.
We had the beach party in the nearby private beach and BBQ party in the garden in the night. The beach area is not packed with people and its a good place to enjoy the sunset.
They arranged the tables and nicely decorated the garden free of charge with fire lights for the BBQ.
I’ve actually been here 3 years back which is the reason we visited again with friends and decided to host the party here.
Great hosts and accommodate for all the needs within justification.
We will definitely be back a third time and the friends are also considering visiting again.
