Prem Cafe & Restaurant

Ate lunch here 2 days in a row, excellent fried rice with prawns yesterday and grilled fish today.

Wonderful restaurant. It was so delicious that we decided to come back for the second evening in a row. And we usually try to visit different cafes. We took fried squid - very tender and chicken cordon blue, it's just wow! The table is reserved, we are waiting for dinner)

Supremely tasty, unpretentious food. Excellent service as well, makes you feel very welcome as a customer. Not as swanky looking as some of the other places in Bentota, but definitely trumps most of them in terms of food quality

The food tastes great. I especially recommend the curry. The owner is very very friendly. There is also a games collection, so there is never a dull moment.

Simply delicious, the wonderful owner explained to us all the dishes that they had on the menu. The best possible option and more if you want to get rid of the spiciness that they put on everything since they know how to measure the amounts of spiciness very well. 100% recommended

One of the best food, i have eat in Sri Lanka. Even better owner of the restaurant who also take care of you, price are also very good.

Very good cuisine, really recommended. Very nice host, he speaks German well. Good music. Clean toilets. I recommend this restaurant with a clear conscience.

We were off season and not everything on the menu was available. What we ordered was tasty (fish fillet, calamari, vegetarian rice, pieces of fish in breadcrumbs, fresh juices, a very good dessert - fried bananas and pineapples). Moderate prices, around $12 for 2 people. Very nice service.

Do not look at the exterior. Perfect cousin! We stayed at the bentota for 4 days and we didn't even have an idea to change the place for dinner.
Yes sometimes you will wait for the meal for about 30-40 minutes, however it's worth it!

Ich war die letzten Jahre immer wieder im Prem Café.
Der Besitzer Prem ist sehr freundlich und spricht gut deutsch.
Das Essen ist geschmacklich und qualitativ immer gut und sehr günstig. Prem überrascht auch immer wieder mit neuen Rezepten. Das Restaurant ist klein und es empfiehlt eine Tischreservierung. Auch wenn man einen ganzen Fisch essen möchte, sollte man bestellen. Dann wird er tagesfrisch serviert.
Einziger Nachteil, das Restaurant liegt direkt neben der Galle Road und es ist entsprechend laut. Aber ich denke das günstige Preisniveau und das qualitativ gute Essen entschädigt.

We had an amazing dinner at Prem Café & Restaurant. The shark fillet, as well as the vegetarian curry were soooooo good. Great prices as well.
To mention is also the owner, who not only speaks perfect german but is also super nice.

Just Extraordinary. Sometimes you find a gem of a restaurant and this is a classic example. We were welcomed warmly from the outset and our host clearly explained everything on the menu in clear English (German & Russian also spoken). The quality of the food was outstanding! Do not be put off by its location, it’s cleaner and more comfortable than any other restaurants we’ve been to on this trip.

Prem Cafe is a cool place for a great meal for very good price. We went here multiple times and always had a nice fresh fish. The staff is really nice and they offer very customer-friendly approach.

Loved this place, very quite. Food was delicious, the owner was very friendly and helpful. Definitely the best place to dine in bentota. I'll be back to your cafe
