Ideal place for a outdoor function.

This is an Ideal place for outdoor function. The manager and his wife helped us a lot, they arranged our wedding day very nicely. It was a nice and memorable day for us.

They always try to give 100% service for their customers and what I understand when we talk to them they don’t want take money unnecessarily from their customers.

Food was amazing, can give the 5 stars for that.

Special thanks for a decoration arrangements that they arranged for our day.

Night functions are more much beautiful than the day functions.

Overall experience was fabulous.

We chose River's Edge Madampa for our wedding based on a positive impression of its outdoor location. However, we cannot recommend this hotel for weddings due to its poor service and attitudes. Despite numerous discussions prior to the wedding and assurances that everything would go smoothly, it became evident that the hotel lacked proper management.

A significant number of our guests did not receive the welcome drink or the snacks we provided. Furthermore, the buffet was delayed by over half an hour, and several dishes were missing when it finally opened. The food quickly ran out, leaving many guests without a meal, and the buffet refilling process was also significantly delayed, causing inconvenience to guests waiting in line. We had fully paid for the expected number of guests before the wedding, but when our family attempted to contact the owners, they were unreachable. At the end of the wedding, the owners appeared and offered excuses, claiming that such incidents had never happened before.

They failed to fill the water glasses on the tables until approximately 1pm. We had to request several times from them to serve the water. The ice coffee served in the evening cannot be called “iced” coffee because it was just warm coffee. The changing room was so heated we couldn’t use it even for 5 minutes. There wasn’t enough amount of cutlery when our guests requested for those. Additionally, there was a significant problem with water availability in the washroom during the morning hours.

Their poor service not only embarrassed us in front of our guests but also left us with a negative experience. We strongly advise against choosing this venue for any future functions.

Very nice place. Kind staff as well. I had my function organized at this place. Very reasonable prices. The surrounding is amazing.

If you love the nature and outdoors, this is the place best in the area. Amazing location with the lake, friendly and helpful staff. The food was amazing And everything was worth the price.

This place is facing the lagoon and it has such nice photo locations and frames. Ideal location for the wedding functions. Food was really nice and it has an authentic srilankan down south county taste.
Hygienic conditions at the washrooms are not maintained.

One of the worst place I have visited in my lifetime
1 Room is not clean it’s full of dirty
2 they haven’t changed a bedsheet
3 do you don’t have a door for the bathroom
4 and the water is very slow in the washroom

And I have complain regarding this then they said there is a bathroom outside if you want you can use it
And they said that they change the bedsheet in the evening but it is full of dirt
And I booked a room in the evening and I went there in the midnight 1 o’clock that is the reason I stayed there because I didn’t have another option to stay and early in the morning 6 o’clock I checked out because I can’t wait inside that room
That’s what I couldn’t get the pictures inside the room
And they have added very nice pictures to advertise the room do not get cheated booking this kind of rooms

Attend for a wedding, Even though the place and surroundings were great. Disappointed about the cleanliness. Washrooms were pathetic felt like a public toilet.

A newly built hotel in a beautiful location at the madampe lake Ambalangoda.very attractive building architecture is completely similar to a old manson. Antique looking furnitures are increasing its look and feel such a budget hotel like this.very nice landscaping with a swimming pool.spacious vehicle parking place.suitable for small functions.foods also good.service is average.
