Hotel & amenities It is a small cozy hotel with only 5 rooms on the whole venue. The hotel has beautiful interior design as well as garden. In the “living room” area (as its very cozy I can’t call it lobby) as well as in every room there are plenty of beautiful paintings Every room is well equipped, AC, hair dryer, shower gel, shampoo, conditioner. Not every room has a fridge, but for our room the kitchen was close so we could take cold water directly from the kitchen fridge if we needed it. There is a huge garden with palm trees, seating possibilities, sun beds right there when you step out of your room. There is also a small pool you can use to cool down when it’s very hot. It’s not necessarily ideal for older people who might have hip problems as it’s a relatively big step to go into the pool. The beach is right there in front of the garden, you can see an amazing sunrise in the beginning of March.

WiFi WiFi was ok when there was no power cuts, sometimes a bit jumpy. Overall better than in the most places we’ve been to. During our stay there were power cuts, but they have generators running during the evening (to cover for the 2 hours of power outage) so you could be working on European time.

Cleanliness? Outdoors - Every day early in the morning the staff is cleaning the garden from the fallen leaves, bringing back the pillows for seating and everything else here is kept in a perfect order. Indoors - Every day they clean the rooms, arrange the beds and exchange the towels.

People ️ The staff was very helpful, always friendly and spoke English very well. I’ve learned a few things about Sri Lanka and the food talking to them

Beach We didn’t swim in the ocean here. Theoretically you could even though it’s not suitable for placing a towel there, the sea is too close (Beginning of March).

Distance to other beaches Dallawela beach / Turtle beach are some of my favorite beaches so far and they are around 10-15 min walk from the hotel. Else the hotel organizes tuk tuks if needed. Mirissa beach is around 30min drive away.

Food Delicious food, the breakfast was included in the price and we really enjoyed it. There is a tasty fruit platter to start with and a selection of Western vs. Sri Lankan breakfast. One evening we had a dinner in the hotel which was awesome. Tuna sandwich along with Sri Lankan cashew curry

This place is amazing! We weren’t sure whether to book given the (current) 4.1 google rating but took a punt on the good reviews and so glad we did! It’s like a little slice of heaven! So peaceful, amazing service, the interior design is stunning and the food is amazing! Access directly onto the beach and a little walk along the beach to a part you can swim in. Beautiful sunsets. Honestly just stay here.

Beautiful property and even better food. I'd stay here just to eat. The beach outside here is a hidden gem. The rooms are very stylish and simple. But the food. Book a stay just for the food. So good! The pool is great for the gram!
