We came from the hotel next door and wanted to eat in the hotel’s restaurant. When entering the premises we were told in not rather friendly way that we are not allowed to enter via the beach side but had to go all the way around and come through the lobby via the street. (Detour of about 10 min.with the bad roads and Sri Lankan traffic something you think about twice.) This is not very welcoming and gives a bad image of Sheraton and it’s services. Especially in times where the hotel seemed to be rather empty.

We had a lovely stay at the hotel, the buffet was so varied and the food was great. The pool was lovely and big. The rooms and hallways are slightly dated but the beds were super comfortable and overall the room was clean and good. We would recommend Mr. Amal who can be located by the beach front of the hotel as he organized an all inclusive day trip for a reasonable price and made our trip very relaxed as we didn’t have to worry about payments and negotiations all day. My recent encounter with the hotel left much to be desired. The A. D of Sales initially provided room rates, but from that point on, communication broke down. Calls and emails went unanswered, leaving me feeling ignored and undervalued.

As a result of the hotel's lack of responsiveness, my plans for a gathering were canceled. A friend who proceeded with the stay reported an unimpressive dining experience, rating the food at just 3/10. It's disheartening when a hotel falls short in communication and dining quality.

We had an amazing stay at Sheraton. The staff was friendly and welcoming. Specially, Tharangi and Sethmi were very helpful and attentive throughout. Buffets had an extensive spread and food was wonderful. The breakfast buffet is a must to try. We had a good time at the pool, beach and the spa. The room was modern, comfortable and had amazing views of the ocean. We loved the ambience and food at the SHO lounge. Highly recommend the resort for anyone looking for a relaxing vacation.

We (family of 10) went there for Dinner yesterday at about 8ish to celebrate a birthday. It was raining. The main gate to the hotel was closed. Honked. But nobody came to open the gates. I thought maybe there was another entry gate. Drove on couldn't find another gate. Then was told by a local, the gate I had left behind was the main entry gate only. So U turned and drove back to it. This time there was another car ahead of me waiting who must have honked quite a bit. As I could see the gate men fondant approaching to open the gates. Drove till the main reception area. No valet to take the car. Was asked to park all the way down on the parking area. I asked the security guys to atleast provide an umbrella since it was raining and car parking area was far away. After a good delay he brought an umbrella. Broken and torn. Picture is attached. This is Sheraton mind you. In the restaurant some of us went for a la carte and some for the buffet. Buffet spread looked good. But ONLY LOOKED good. Hardly anything on the spread was piping hot or tasty. Most of the meats were hard and tough to bite into. Things that needed to be hot and crisp, were soggy and cold like the fritters. Live station of Tacos. The chef did not realise our bother she was handing out completely soggy Tacos. Frustrated, I asked the Chef to prepare just a few fresh prawns for me as I had not liked anything else on the table. After a long wait, the prawns arrived. 4 pcs. First one was very nice. Second one still had the black vein on it. Afraid I could be violently sick, I discarded the dish. Lots of options for desserts. Tried most of them. Unfortunately didn't find a single thing worth taking a second bite into. Some of us ordered a Veg and Non Veg Thali. The Non Veg Thali was an absolute joke. Just one Non Veg dish in the whole Thali. A fish. Rest 3 things were things like Dal etc. Never eaten such a poor Non Veg Thali.
All in all, the looks of the Hotel are very modern, nice and new. But the food, atleast yesterday was terrible. I wouldn't ever risk of staying there and committing my family and myself to poor quality and poor tasting food on a holiday of 2-3-4 nights. We were staying at the Taj which honestly looks quite dated as compared to the Sheraton. But atleast the food and service were much much better.

Everything about the hotel is good. Rating is 100/10, nothing to complain. Service and the staff is so friendly.

But when they arrange transport, the third party companies can scam you. Be aware.

A beautiful hotel with all the accompaniment, and I cannot forget the splendor and deliciousness of the food in the hotel restaurant and the high level of the staff in charge of the restaurant, headed by the chef responsible for sweets, Jamun Gulab. Never forget thanks to him, as well as Miss sew and the restaurant manager

One of the best hotel we visited in down south area. Buffet is excellent with wide variety of delicious food. Rooms are comfortable. Room with plunge pool is amazing and totally worth for price. Staff is really helpful and attentive. Will definitely revisit this hotel.

Small property, but great facilities, good food, and good hospitality. Not a lot to do around the area, but the hotel itself has a gym, TT table, and pool. Good place for a relaxing weekend

Staff: They have friendly staff and they provided a good service.
Room: Excellent, comfortable room.
Pool: They have a large public pool with baby pool as well as private pools. Pool was clean and nice.
Foods: Wow.delicious foods with many options.
Childe Play Area: They are providing a child care service.
Environment: Really good. This is a beach front hotel.

Don't come here and not worth the money. There are much better hotels in the area. We stayed on 17th Dec and 9rdered three double rooms.

Room was not clean. Washrooms had sand. Had to ask them to clean again. I've been calling them over three times to get a dental kit and it's been an hour, and still no one brought it. Not five star quality. If you are looking for a quality service and clean rooms, DON'T COME HERE. (yes, I'm writing this review while in the hotel)

It was really a great stay. Very friendly staff and excellent service. Vast variety of mouthwatering food. Swimming pool along with the pool bar is ideal. Lots of activities in and out the hotel. Clean rooms with modern amenities and good room service. Recommended

Very very Unpleasant Disgusting experience i had
They don't know how to treat there customers. Waiters and restaurant staf was not happy to serve us. Im not recommended this place

One of the wrost stays ever.

Though we asked for ocean view froms from the very first moment of reservation they have given us a room with garden view facing directly to Pool. No view at all and so disturbing.

We had some bad issues with house-keeping also.

Staffs are not friendly at all. Specially restaurant staff. We feel like they discriminate people. We stayed there 02 days. Never recommend and never visit again.

It was awesome to stayed in Sheraton Kosgoda. We spent great time as a family. Reception staff were kind and gave us a warm welcome. All the staff were kind and helpful. We enjoyed the food and rooms are clean and well prepared. Sheraton was assigned a Guardian Angel for us and our Guardian Angel Fiona is such a kind and friendly person who assisted us in our stay. I should mention Dilshan from front office who helped and assisted us in our stay. I wish all the best to Sheraton Kosgoda and the staff.

The food Delicious. Fiona and Handun was very professional and Helpful. However first time in history all the additional services were demanded to pay immediately rather than at the checkout. You need to review this policy seriously and ammend this policy. Improvements in service levels and changes to said policies could lead up to excellent ratings

Was part of a corporate event organised by South Asian Technologies. Although I gave 5 stars, there is not enough space for meals but outside the resturaunt there was extra space allocated the next day. However the hotel staff were really great and they are the reason why I gave this rating!

Poor rooms and even worse service. Recommend you stay next door at The Pleasure for a much better experience for half the price. Amazing food there too. This hotel is a mega corporation that misses the mark on all accounts.

Hotel was extremely busy during our stay with 3-4 large corp bookings. Even with that massive crowd, they were able to maintain their service standards. Commendable. Food spread was well above average as well.
