This restaurant is located in the nice place. Food also so good and prices are reasonable. We went there during my weekend. Our whole family enjoyed the foods there especially my 4 years old kid enjoyed the restaurant by the river. Foods were delicious but they are having only yogurts for the desserts. If they are having more options, it would be great.

Located on a small lake along the Galle Road near Hikkaduwa a cosy restaurant serving good food.

The name says it all, except that the quality of food is understated. Good value for money.

Can highly recommend. They’ve got a variety of dishes and all are reasonably priced. Spacious location, clean and great staff.

The rice and curry option was nicely served, curries separate and good portions. Will definitely visit again.

The location is very pleasant since there is a lake behind the restaurant and the sea is in front of it. Many foreigners come to this place for dining. Prices are comparatively reasonable when compared with the content.

Simple Restaurant is a good place for dine in or Take out food. Situated in a fabulous location. You can have dine in with the breeze of the sea. They have good food options and the food is tasty. Recommended

It was my first time. There was a good menu. We had multiple dishes. The prices were reasonable and the portions were good.

Food was tasty. One portion was sufficient for two persons. Prices are between 800- 1500. Clean washroom facilities were there.

Only issue was one person played radio in high volume. It was a real disturb for customers.

Try their Cheese Kottu, as we tried it and everyone likes it.
We went there for a dinner, the place was too noisy though, they need to crank down the music volume. It's too loud to a level which you don't hear the person next to you or the painting staff.

Really nice food and great service. During a stay in Akurala I went here 10+ times and the kottu was unbelievable and the drinks were reasonably priced. Can't recommend enough!

Simple but amazing freshly cooked food all done in a beautiful river setting where you can watch the birds fish and the river wind its way slowly in a mangrove setting

We stayed in a hotel close to this restaurant, and it was nice to come and eat some authentic Sri Lankan food. It was simple and delicious for reasonable prices. The staff is pleasant and speaks basic English. What we didn't understand was the different service for us compared to other guests: our kitchen utensils (like knife and fork) were served in a napkin, and others were in the glass with boiled water. As far as I understand, the boiling water is for disinfection, but for us, they never made this, it was strange.

In general, I recommend this restaurant if you like simple authentic places - not fancy but with decent food for a reasonable price
