Wonderful teacher and a very worthwhile experience making a ring in Lakmals workshop. His prices are very reasonable especially when u compare to Galle fort.

They changed money from him constantly and at the same time bought a souvenir as a keepsake, a silver elephant, very nice.

We had a sapphire engagement ring made here and the service was amazing! We chose the stone and the setting and came back a few days later to collect the ring that was perfectly made. We hope to visit Sri Lanka again soon and will make sure we visit Sithma gems for more jewellery!

By accident we encountered Lakmals shop, and we are so happy we did! From a picture only he made us beautiful rings and necklace with gems. He was very friendly and invited us to his house just to chose which stones we wanted. I would reccomend everyone to visit his shop when interested in beautiful jewellery. Unlike other, centrally located stores with neon lights - this one is special, run in family, passed through generetions and generations and has its own story.
There you can get all sorts of custom made jewellery in bespoke quality.
The owner of the shop is kind and knowlegable gentlemen, he will take his time and put all his effort to make you satisfied.
He is not pushy to make sales. He simply enjoy and love what he does. Listen to his suggestions when combining different types of stones.

This man is a true artist. He can make anything you want. We got multiple unique designs, such as an elephant with a saphire eye and a kingfisher sitting on a branch. He made it with such an unique touch that it stand off the skin which makes it look like it is flying away. An intriguing and beautiful design. Moreover he is trustworthy and can tell you a lot about all the gems and their specifics and how to check them. Multiple friends and familymembers also went to him.
