South Point Villa

South Point Villa is absolutely gorgeous! Because it sits on a promontory, the highlight is having 180 degree views of the ocean from the front terrace – with literally nothing else in sight except the ocean – which is ultra rare. I also love the colonial furniture and antiques that gives the villa a distinctly Sir Lankan feeling. We loved staying here (and the chef’s food) so much we extended our stay by four days!

Extraordinary beachfront villa with spacious and very comfortable (spotless!) rooms. The beach is very private and dreamy! The staff is very sweet and super helpful, they prepared the best Sri Lankan food we had during our stay in Sri Lanka. I would highly recommend this villa. Wonderful experience in this beachfront villa. We stayed here for a few days and enjoyed the cosy decorated house and amazing outdoor space. The beach is very private and you can go for a safe swim or take your snorkel gear. The rooms are very spacious, clean and well decorated. Staff is very friendly and the food is to die for. From this location it is easy to visit Fort Galle or surf hotspot Weligama. Enjoy this gem!

I can't recommend South Point Villa enough! We had the most beautiful stay with family during our Christmas holiday. The house is stunning, filled with the most tasteful furniture and artworks. Nothing beats the view from the deck, you basically have your own private beach. Sometimes horses walk across the beach, it's magical! And honestly, we had the best Sri Lankan food at South Point. We spent about a month in the country and this was, hands down, the best food we had. The staff is so lovely and looked after our every need. I'm planning to come back to this gorgeous place again and again!

My go to place when visiting the South of Sri Lanka. I've stayed a week together with my parents. Slab bang ocean front. Just wow! The ultimate getaway on an almost private beach. The ocean is swimmable but they also have a very nice private pool. The staff is wonderful and always on stand-by and helpful as ever. Do try their local rice and curry. Simply delicious! Its in between Unawatuna and Ahangama which makes it easy to go out to other entertainment spots close by. They do have their own transport which makes it so much easier. If you're an animal lover, do ask for the horses to be brought to the beach. A sunset walk with the horse by your side, It's beautiful for picture taking.a 10/10!

Very private location. Got it self a private beach, private pool! There is no issues with music (also owner is very friendly and he himself offered us a very loud speaker to put music). Staff is very friendly and food is Extraordinary!

South Point Ocean is a hidden gem along the very busy galle road located in Kathaluwa. You would never imagine that you could find something so serene right there. It simply takes you on another experience.

The place is designed very nicely. The interiors of the living area, bedrooms and the bathrooms are very spacious and organised beautifully. Almost all the rooms openup directly to the sea, and the view is amazing. The place could easily fit 13 to 15 people comfortably. There is a pool as well.

All food and beverages need to be taken from outside and there is a chef to prepare meals as per our choice. On request a barbecue was arranged which was awesome. There are 3 other helpers who were very helpful.

They do have a horse on prem and two very lovely and friendly dogs.

The value for money is very high! A go to place!

This was an unforgettable trip with my friends. The location was superb. The staff was very supportive and attentive.
When we come to the cleanliness, can give 10/10.
This is much better for a large crowd. But may be you can discuss with them and arrange the rooms as per your requirement.

Outstanding villa with excellent staff and location. Great chef, food and drink. Absolutely bliss. Highly recommended to anyone wanting a first class villa and five star service. Also stayed in the villa next door which was also fabulous. All have great swimming pools and are situated on the white sand beach. Thank you for having me!

We stayed at South Point Villa, near Ahangama.
Wonderful location right on the beach with swimmable waters, it was really a blissful time for the family. Rooms and decor have a traditional rustic charm and but we spent most of our time on the back and the lovely grass area overlooking the blue ocean, blissful days unfortunately had to get back after a few days to Colombo.
Sonali and her team really know how to look after their guests, nothing was too much of a trouble and the meals were just so tasty and fresh. The cook made us a fab BBQ with some yummy jumbo prawns, and certainly was one of my best experiences in Sri Lanka, well done to South Point, will come again for sure and this time it would be for a longer time!

Overpriced and not worth the value. My issue is with the owner and booking agent gauging us for more money at the end, charges we were not informed of beforehand. I was looking forward to staying at this location and was highly disappointed. Have stayed at many villas here in SL, not worth the cost and leaving extremely ripped off. The service staff were very friendly and helpful. The owner and booking agent lack customer service experience. They have lost returning customers or any recommendations from us.

As can be seen from the pictures the location is great.

The build is an antique villa and it could have some charm but is a bit dark.downstairs there is a smaller room and upstairs 1 family room with 2 bathrooms and another large room. They give on to a large upstairs veranda that is really nice.

The building could use a touch up but is clean.

We went as 2 families. The cost as it was the weekend was 60k LKR a night. Breakfast included.

For that price you would expect a boutique hotel experience. Although the staff was nice it was definitely not a luxury experience.

The first day breakfast was not served properly.meaning there was bread and Pol rothi. 15 minutes later came some eggs.then bacon 10 minutes later and again 10 minutes later pancakes.needless to say the kids did not last.

Tea and coffee they forgot.

Second day they got it all out together.

But generally it seemed they had no organisation or anyone to get them organized.

First night no covers we asked the cook and she arranged it for us for the second night.

Full board was an extra 4500 per day. Sri Lankan food was good but Western food was all dried out, over cooked and generally tasteless.

So overall I would say beautiful place but management has to seriously invest in the building and mostly in training the staff.

Awesome beach villa for special occasions. Impeccable hospitality and meals. Gorgeous property, private swimming pool and the beach. One night was not enough! Perfect place for anniversary, family gathering or even wedding ceremony! (Not sure if they allow but I would love to!)

Super location by the sea. Very well maintained 3 bedroom spacious villa. Great service & friendly, helpful staff.

Lovely bungalow with 8 bedrooms in the main building and an extension with 3 or 4 more bedrooms and they also own some of the adjoining properties so it's a great option for a large crowd! Place was immaculate, staff was attentive, chef was excellent we just discussed the menu options and they shopped for the required groceries and billed us separately.
Highly recommended for a big family or office trip, but I believe they have a 2 night minimum booking requirement.

Lovely and cozy place with fabulous food. Beautiful view of the sea from the property. Very clean. Has no hesitation in recommending it.

Villa is good for families and friends, nice food, good and polite Manager and supporting staff.nice pool.
