Southern Cool Spot Restaurant

My wife and I came here for lunch and we really enjoyed it. It seemed that this place was mainly visited by locals and the seafood dishes were much cheaper than in other places in Hikkaduwa. The food was tasty and the staff were attentive. Good option for a nice and relaxed lunch.

It's a local restaurant where you can eat cheaply and well! There are a variety of dishes, but no alcohol!

Stopped for lunch today. Excellent find. Food was lovely and good value. Thank goodness we went for the half portion size. We'll worth a visit

What a delightful little authentic Sri Lankan restaurant just as you come into Hikkaduwa on the road from ambalangoda, it is a genuine sri lankan curry restaurant filled with sri lankans.with spicy fish, chicken and veg curries with daal and sambal and delicious dry fish curry too with chutney and popadums.all for under £6 for 2! Wow what a little gem

Great food! Veg kottu was delicious and the portions are huge, enough for two. Also the wattalapan was very tasty! Great prices and great service

This is a very good place located adjoining the sea. This place serves delicious food. Prices are also very reasonable. Service is very good. Kind hearted staff. Can have a meal while having a nice view of the sea. Sometimes you can have a view of fishing as well. Recommend for locals and foreigners who seek low cost food.

Wird überwiegend von Einheimischen besucht, aber für Liebhaber der shinhala Küche ein Geheimtipp. Ein absolut gutes Preis - Leistung - Verhältnis. Sehr gute Fischgerichte und Salate, einfach top. Wir besuchen es regelmäßig und haben die Speisekarte schon rauf und runter probiert.

If you are tired of the bland tourist food in Hikkaduwa, it is worth the short tuk-tuk ride to this place. Good roti, string hoppers, rice and curry. Real Sri Lankan food, which is hard to find in Hikkaduwa along the beach and main drag.

Hikkaduwa's off beaten track gem - the tastiest food I've had in Hikkaduwa. Very well priced and very popular among locals - with a reason I'd say. Can get very busy at the lunch time.

It is not nicely decorated and not too clean in the western standards but if you are not a 5 star hotel type of person you will love it. Give it a try.
