Same company's Ella place is much better. Galle fort place seems like there is no boss. No one really in control. Also cook not good as in Ella.

Ocean Bistro was bit difficult to find as it was in the first floor of the old dutch hospital building. Plenty of food options as well as drink options. Tried their koththu roti which was delicious. Portion size was average. Good service and live music was also good.

Foods were very tasty & reasonable.
Ambience was also so welcoming.

Thay sold water name called masala tea. Koththu average quality.bought from highway starbeans.

The atmosphere is okay. But the service and the quality of food are awful. Ordered 2 chicken fried rice and they mixed CORN with it. I don't eat corn at all. Besides, does corn fit as an ingrediant in chicken fried rice? Very bad at service and will not visit this place again for sure.

P. S. I will attach a picture of corn seeds, which I literaly EXCAVTED while eating.

We really enjoyed our dinner here. Food was delicious, drinks were good, and service was great.

But I’m marking them down slightly because of the live entertainment. To be fair he wasn’t a bad singer, but after one song we were keen to continue our conversations. Instead he stood there and sang another three or four songs, which resulted in us having to shout over him to be heard.

I also feel his catalogue is perhaps a little limited, and stuck in a certain era, as we’d already heard him play the same songs for another table!

Other than that, we had an enjoyable meal.

Good place! Great food at a good price tag, large portions, wonderful soup) Place on the second floor with an ocean view! I recommend!

When in Galle, come here for some good high quality dining experience. They even have Tabasco to go with with my prawn quesadillas. Try their lassi - remarkably good.

There's a very nice and polite waiter called Manjula, if you had any requests don't hesitate to ask him. He'll be more than happy to help you out.

Friendly service, balcony table with the sound of the waves while you eat, and DELICIOUS food - my Kottu was amazing. Arack sour cocktail is highly recommended!

You can grab a beer with a snack here. The price was relatively low compared to other shops in Dutch hospital. Enough parking is there

Absolutely awesome place to dine-in in the Galle Fort. Superb environment and friendly staff. Fish and chips were great. The seafood pizza was nothing to write home about but it was good. The deserts were the highlight of the entire meal. The chocolate cake was super tasty, so was the lava cake. Super friendly staff. Highly recommended.
Updates: tried the Chicken Lumberjack Burger and the Classic Chicken Burger were great. The deserts are still the best. Blueberry Cheesecake is mouth watering.

I loved this place. Food is good, staff is good and suberb vibe with live music. Seating at outside with sea view is awesome at afternoon, evenings.
