Sunny Mood Guest House

When we chose the tour, we understood that we didn’t have to expect much from the guest house. Then we looked at the Russian-language review on YouTube and were completely disappointed, preparing for the worst. However, the first impression was surprising. We were given a fairly spacious, clean room. Of course, the cleanliness is relative (for example, the closet was dusty), but everything else was a pleasant surprise.

1. Nice spacious corner room on the second floor (102). Yes, without a view, but the rest of the rooms have large windows through which passers-by can see everything, so it’s better to take without panoramic windows (corner rooms)
2. Breakfast is also good: a plate of fruit, eggs, toast with butter and jam. Quite a hearty breakfast, but monotonous. The composition of the fruit and the type of scrambled eggs change slightly.
3. There is air conditioning, toilet paper is provided upon request, they are cleaned once during the entire stay (12 days), but I think that if you ask, they can do the cleaning again. Towels are provided and changed, but you cannot take them to the beach. There is no hairdryer, but there is an ironing station - the iron doesn't seem to burn the fabric. The room also has a safe, kettle, dishes (on request) and a refrigerator, although it is a bit dirty. You can ask the reception for an umbrella.
4. Living creatures: mosquitoes, ants and lizards (rarely) are found in the room. There are ants in all houses in Sri, from the rest you just need to close the windows. In another hotel, a fellow traveler met a scorpio; we didn’t have one in our sunny mood. You can see monkeys and chipmunks on the street.
5. Three minutes walk from the sea, six minutes from the central main street (via the beach). The location is good - not noisy. There is a good cafe on the beach in Tarturuga, literally 5 minutes from the hotel. There is also a beautiful coffee shop called Wild and the Sage nearby. There is a stop nearby where you can catch crazy bas and go to the nearest cities (Halle, Koggla, etc.)
6. The Guest House is owned by a family, they live here and help with everyday issues. They speak English well. In the same building they have a tour desk, a small store (everything you need can be found there - gift tea, personal hygiene items, snacks), and they also have bike rentals. The store is a little expensive, but the price does not differ much.

Good hotel. Very good hosts. They are friendly and can give you some advice. There is also a store there. We had great rest.

Very friendly and helpful family! Good breakfast, very good price. 1 Minute rom the lovely beach with a lot of restaurants, diving school, surfing rentals etc. We stayed here already the second time!

Lovely family running this nice clean place conveniently located in walking distance to the left side of Hunawatuna beach and away from the hustle and bustle of the main tourist road

I agree with another poster, very unfriendly & ask for more money if you place water bottle or some fruit in the fridge!

Sunny Mood is a very Nice guesthouse, close to the Unawatuna beach. The room had a comfortable bed, fridge, WiFi and a/c. Third time over here, Will come back again.

Mean to customers once you book, force you to pay at inconvenient time. Raises the price after you book. They want your money, and dont care if you know
