The Galle Fort Art Gallery

I went here today asked about the sculpture in front of the shop. And the lady works here spoke very rude and snapped at me. She said the sculpture is selling for 50 million rupees (I highly doubt whether she knows amount)
I really wanted to buy it. But I’m just disappointed about the attitude towards locals. I think it would have been the different scenario if I ask that in a foreign language

Very nice place, they have excellent espresso! The guy there was very friendly and explained all about the art and the building. This place is marvellous. Highly recommended!

We were fortunate to buy a piece by Chamila Gamage that we will cherish for the rest of our lives.a one-of-a-kind memento of our time in Sri Lanka that cannot be compared to the gift shop art that is far more common in this area. Amazing masks. Right place if you want to take a well crafted piece for decoration. More expensive but also better quality than those from tourists shops
