THE GARDEN BEACH AYURVEDA RESORT HIRU BEACH

Disappointing ayurverda experience:
Massages are ok but ayurverda consultations are a joke: a young doctor has just graduated and barely speaks English (asked before booking if a doctor speaks good English), a more experienced doctor doesnt give any proper recommendations besides "dont stress", "drink water 30 min before food", "eat good breakfast and light dinner". Highly do not recommend!

The master is good. But very high price compare with other place.
Full body massage 100mins, we ask discount. He said is okay.
Firstly they won't drive us to other place. We refuse!
Then we waited 40 mins paid and stated massage, the guy says short the time to 60 mins, he told us if you need discount, he short massage time.but he don't tell us in advance!

Excuse me? Short time it’s not discount)
There is a deceitful meaning, and it is trying to drag us to other places at first. We asked for a discount and he shortened the 140 minutes to 100 minutes but didn't tell us apart from our payment.

It was my 3rd stay at the Garden Beach Resort in Kosgoda and I wish to come back soon. It is an outstanding place for your Ayurvedic Retreat! The adorable team makes every effort to make your stay a pleasant and special experience!
I highly recommend that place!

I stayed at Garden Beach in April 2022 for a panchakarma cure. I can 100% recommend Resort. One should be aware of the proximity to the beach, that's an advantage if you love the sea and can participate in yoga in the morning on the terrace. The disadvantage can definitely be heard in the evening and at night, the waves make a big and powerful roar. That didn't bother me.

The treatments (massages), the friendly staff, the guest advisor Janaka deserves a special mention, the food (no buffet!).

You get a fresh sarong for the day. Every morning is yoga. We were able to make a few trips in the area, the hotel owner Kuma helped us with that.

I really enjoyed my time at Garden Beach.

During our spa stay we were treated, cared for and looked after by a wonderful team. The medical care was intensive and professional. The meals were also very tasty and were individually prepared according to our dosha determined by the doctor. The German-speaking guest advisor gave us information and explanations about the Ayurveda concept. He also supported us in the consultations with the doctor and in the planning of activities.
We were particularly enthusiastic about the competent therapists and their effective treatments. There was an absolutely harmonious and soothing atmosphere throughout the hotel. We like to return

We had two wonderful, unforgettable weeks at the Garden Beach Ayurveda Resort. From the first minute we felt incredibly comfortable. The food, the hospitality, the medical team, the treatment team, the room service - everything was perfect. We felt like we were part of a big family. Jan, the guest relations manager was there for us all the time. He answered all of our questions and also told us a lot about Ayurveda and life in Sri Lanka.
It was our first Ayurveda cure, but due to the great experience it certainly won't be the last. We will come back.

Incredibly nice team - starting with the doctors, housekeeping, reception, to the kitchen! Food was delicious and the surroundings are beautiful. Excursions were well organized and you can feel the extreme cohesion throughout the house. Definitely attention to detail!
